NOTICE OF PROPOSAL
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Burnley Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Sections 32 and 35 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) (“the 1984 Act”) and all other enabling powers with the consent of Lancashire County Council in accordance with Section 39(3) of the 1984 Act and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act intend to make the above-mentioned Order the effect of which is to regulate parking on the car park known as Padiham Leisure Centre, as shown in the Schedule belowand the plan attached to the Order.

A copy of the draft Order and a copy of the associated Statement of Reasons explaining the background to the
Order may be inspected at the offices of Burnley Borough Council, Town Hall, Manchester Road, Burnley during office hours (9.00am-5.00pm Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays).
If you wish to object to any of the proposals contained in this Notice, you should send the grounds for your objection in writing to the Head of Legal & Democratic Services by no later than 10th April 2026.
