CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(HIGH STREET, BIGGLESWADE)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends

not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of High Street, Biggleswade outside flat number 1.

This temporary closure is required to enable new water connection work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 7 to 8 April 2026 between 6pm and 6am. The road will be closed at all times during this period. The alternative route for this closure is via A6001, A1 and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 7 April 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of High Street, Wrestlingworth outside number 94.

This temporary closure is required to enable new water service installation works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 23 to 30 March 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure will be B1042, Sutton Rd, Hatley Rd, High St and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 23 March 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(LANGFORD ROAD, BIGGLESWADE)

(TEMPORARY 40MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from exceeding a 40mph speed limit along the length of Langford Road, Biggleswade which extends from 100m south of Eldon Way to 135m south of Cow Close.

This temporary speed limit is required to facilitate safe ingress and egress into site compound and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

It is expected that the 40mph speed limit will be in operation from Monday 23 March 2026.

The proposed Order will come into operation on 23 March 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed whichever is the earlier. For further information please contact Anglian water on 08457145145.
