What is happening?

THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF NORTH TYNESIDE
DUCHESS STREET LANE, WHITLEY BAY
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

North Tyneside Council gives notice that it intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit all through traffic on Duchess Street Lane At Side And Rear Of 1a-29 to Duchess Street Lane At Side And Rear Of 1a-29.

The proposed temporary Order is required to excavate and replace existing boundary box.

The Order will come into force on 1st April 2026 for a period not exceeding 5 days.
