TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2026

Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984

Norfolk County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, hereby give notice that:

(i) THEY PROPOSE TO MAKE Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders in respect of the following roads:

BARSHAM – C325 Burnham Lane from its junction with B1105 Wells Road to its junction with B1355 Burnham Market Road to facilitate carriageway repairs from 18th to 19th March 2026 (may continue until 30th April 2026). Alternative route is via B1355 Creake Road/Burnham Market Road, C326 Barsham Road, B1105 Wells Road (Barsham, Sculthorpe). The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

GREAT YARMOUTH – Osborne Avenue from its junction with Barnard Crescent for 145m southwards to facilitate water pipe works from 16th to 27th March 2026 (may continue until 8th May 2026). GREAT YARMOUTH – C612 North Denes Road/Sandringham Avenue from its junction with Beaconsfield Road for 480m northwards to facilitate replacement speed bump installations from 16th to 20th March 2026 (may continue until 1st May 2026). HOLT – C311 Kelling Road from 630m northeast of its junction with C488 Cromer Road for 30m north-eastwards to facilitate a new water pipe connection from 19th to 20th March 2026 (may continue until 1st May 2026). SCULTHORPE – C424 New Road from its junction with A148 Lynn Road for 1500m north-westwards to facilitate carriageway repairs on the 17th March 2026 (may continue until 28th April 2026). SOMERTON

A) U69358 Cottage Road from its junction with C640 Martham Road to its junction with U69490 Common Road and

B) U69490 Common Road from its junction with U69358 Cottage Road to 80m southwest of its junction with C643 Horsey Road to facilitate replacement of overhead power lines and poles on 20th March 2026 (may continue until 1st May 2026). AYLMERTON – A148 Holt Road from its junction with A1082 Holway Road to its junction with B1436 Cromer Road to facilitate road marking and carriageway lining works between 19:00 and 05:00 from the 9th to 11th March 2026 (may continue until 22nd April 2026). The Road will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrian access) and The Norfolk County Council (Fakenham, Long Lane) (Prohibition of Entry) Order 2025 will be temporarily suspended to allow traffic to enter U14019 Long Lane from its junction with the A148 Fakenham Roundabout on the 11th March 2026 (may continue until 22nd April 2026). CAISTER-ON-SEA – U69780 Brooke Avenue from its junction with C483 Norwich Road for 20m northwards to facilitate s 278 highway construction works from 9th March to 3rd April 2026 (may continue until 3rd October 2026). Alternative route is via: Brooke Avenue, Breydon Way, Thames Way, Prince of Wales Road, Norwich Road (West Caister, Caister-on-Sea). The works promoter is Persimmon Homes.

DUNTON, SHEREFORD AND TOFTREES

A) U14040 Church Lane from its junction with A1065 Swaffham Road to its junction with C333 Helloughton Road and

B) A1065 Swaffham Road from its junction with Lamb Lane for 1800m south-westwards to facilitate carriageway patching repair works. The road A) will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrian access), and the road B) shall be temporarily subject to the imposition of a 30mph speed restriction from 10th to 13th March 2026 (may continue until 24th April 2026). A) C557 Market Street from its junction with C560 Mundesley Road for 30m eastwards and

C) C557 Market Place from its junction with C502 New Road to its junction with C561 King Arms Street and

D) C558 Church Street at its junction with C557 Market Place and

E) C560 Mundesley Road (southwest-bound lane only) from its junction with U10330 Vicarage Street to its junction with C557 Market Street and

F) C557 Market Street from 30m east of its junction with C560 Mundesley Road to its junction with C561 Kings Arms Street

to facilitate new water connection works.

The Road A will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrian access) and; traffic (constituting any class of vehicle) over the Road B shall be temporarily subject to the suspension of the one-way system (eastbound) and; the Road C shall be temporarily subject to the imposition of a one-way system (westbound) and the effect of this is that vehicles will only be allowed to travel in a westerly direction and; traffic (constituting any class of vehicle) over the Road D shall be temporarily restricted from turning left onto C557 Market Place and; traffic (constituting any class of vehicle) over the Road E shall be prohibited and; traffic (constituting any class of vehicle) over the Road F shall be temporarily subject to the suspension of the one-way system (eastbound) to allow vehicles to travel in both an easterly and westerly direction between 19:00 and 06:00 from 11th to 12th March 2026 (may continue until 23rd April 2026).

Alternative route is via: Mundesley Road, Lyngate Road, B1145 North Walsham By-pass, A149 North Walsham By-pass, Norwich Road, Grammar School Road, Yarmouth Road, Market Place.

RAYNHAM – Heath Road from its junction with C524 Massingham Road to its junction with C522 Weasenham Road to facilitate carriageway repairs on 12th March 2026 (may continue until 23rd April 2026).

Alternative route is via: C524 Massingham Road, C522 Weasenham Road (Weasenham All Saints, Little Massingham, West Rudham, Helloughton, Weasenham St. Peter).

ROUGHTON – A140 Norwich Road from its junction with Parrow Lane to its junction with A149 North Walsham Road to facilitate road marking works between 19:00 and 05:00 from the 10th to 12th March 2026 (may continue until 23rd April 2026). SHERINGHAM – Sheringham Footpath 26 from its junction with The Esplanade for 526m westwards to facilitate resurfacing and footpath improvement works from 7th to 17th March 2026 (may continue until 28th April 2026). Alternative route is via The Esplanade, Sweet Briar Lane, Weybourne Road, Holt Road, Sheringham Road, The Street, Park Road, Sheringham Park, Upper Sheringham Footpath 5, Upper Sheringham Footpath 4, Sheringham Footpath 26 (Sheringham, Upper Sheringham). SPIXWORTH – U51199 Giles Road from its junction with Park Road for 50m southwards to facilitate sluice valve repair works from 9th to 11th March 2026 (may continue until the 22nd April 2026). Alternative route is via: Arthurtown Road, Buxton Road, Park Road. The works promoter is Anglian Water.

SPROWSTON – C283 Salhouse Road from its junction with A1042 Mousehold Lane to its junction with Woodside Road to facilitate surface dressing preparation for carriageway repair works from 11th to 12th March 2026, (may continue until 23rd April 2026). Alternative route is via: North-Blue Boar Lane, A1151 Wroxham Road, A1042 Mousehold Lane. South – A1042 Heartsease Lane, Plumstead Road East, Woodside Road. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

SPROWSTON – C283 Salhouse Road from its junction with Blue Boar Lane to its junction with Atlantic Avenue to facilitate carriageway repairs and surface dressing preparations from 9th to 10th March 2026 (may continue until 21st April 2026). Alternative route is via: Blue Boar Lane, A1151 Wroxham Road, A1270 Broadland Northway, Salhouse Road (Rackheath, Sprowston). The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

STALHAM

A) C536 High Street from its junction with U19015 Bank Street for 35m eastwards and

B) C536 High Street from its junction with C641 Ingham Road to 35m east of its junction with U19015 Bank Street and

C) C536 High Street from its junction with U19015 Bank Street to 10m east of its junction with U19014 St Johns Road to facilitate new water connection works.

The Road A will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrian access) and Roads B – C shall be temporarily subject to the suspension of the one-way system (westbound) to allow vehicles to travel in both an easterly and westerly direction between 18:00 and 06:00 from 12th to 13th March 2026 (may continue until 24th April 2026).

Alternative route is via: Lower Staithe Road, Old Market Road, A149 Yarmouth Road, High Street.

The works promoter is Anglian Water.

THORPE ST. ANDREW – C256 Thunder Lane from its junction with A1042 Ring Road to its junction with U59584 Spinney Road to facilitate surface dressing preparation for carriageway repair works from 9th to 10th March 2026 (may continue until 21st April 2026).

Alternative route is via: Thunder Lane, Plumstead Road East, A1042 (Heartsease Lane, St Williams Way, Saint Williams Way).

TRUNCH – C295 Gimingham Road from its junction with Front Street to its junction with Back Street to facilitate carriageway repair works from 9th to 10th March 2026 (may continue until the 21st April 2026).
