We have made this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Scugdale Road, Swainby for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 09/03/26 & 20/03/26, due to works core drilling into existing BT network, excavate to install approximately 1000m of new duct, microduct & associated chambers. However, the max duration of this Order is until 09/09/26. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate. We have made this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Shawl Terrace, Leyburn for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 10/03/26 & 23/03/26, due to Northern Powergrid works to install cable for new large connection. 30 MPH Speed Limit, A684, Bainbridge, Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that The North Yorkshire Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 84(1) & (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, the effect of which will be to prohibit any motor vehicle from travelling at a speed in excess of 30 mph on any length of road specified below:—
Schedule – Road In The Village of Bainbridge – 30 Mph Speed Limit A684, Bainbridge, from a point 44 metres east from its junction with the projected north westerly kerbline of the C43 (Bainbridge to Stalling Busk Road) in a north westerly direction for a distance of approximately 147 metres. A copy of the draft Order, together with a map showing the roads affected & a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at County Hall, Northallerton & at Hawes library & customer services centre, The Neukn, Marketplace, Hawes, DL8 3RA during normal office hours from 06/03/26 until 27/03/26 & also viewed online at www.northyorks.gov.uk/roadworks-map or www.northyorks.gov.uk/traffic-regulation-orders. If you wish to object to the proposed Order, you should send the grounds for your objection, in writing addressed to The North Yorkshire Council, Traffic Management, County Hall, Racecourse Lane, Northallerton, DL7 8AD or by email to Traffic.management@northyorks.gov.uk or via the website link above by 27/03/26.
