ON-STREET PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2009

(AMENDMENT NO. 26) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that North Northamptonshire Council propose to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 32, 35 to 39 and 45 to 55 and Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to amend “The Northamptonshire County Council (Corby District) (Waiting and Loading Restrictions and On-Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2009” (now vested in North Northamptonshire Council) as specified in the Order and the Schedule to the Order (The on-street Plans (maps)) and detailed in the Schedule below.

A COPY of the Order may be inspected at Kier Highways, Brixworth Depot, Old Harborough Road, Brixworth, Northants, NN6 9BX at a time and date specified by appointment only by calling 01604 529700. A copy of the Order can also be obtained on request by emailing NNCParkingenquiries@ kier.co.uk

If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any provisions contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within six weeks from the date of this Notice apply to the High Court for this purpose. The Order will become effective on 16th March 2026.

SCHEDULE 1

No Waiting at Any Time (Double Yellow Lines)

George Street, Corby – No Waiting at Any Time (double yellow lines) for a distance of 7 metres in a south-east direction from the Cottingham Road roundabout, replacing the existing time-limited waiting bay (Mon-Sat, 9am-6pm, 30 minutes, no return within 90 minutes). Reinstate the existing double yellow lines over the dropped kerbs for 7 metres.

Removal of Time-Limited Waiting Bay

George Street, Corby – Remove 7 metres of the marked time-limited waiting bay (Mon-Sat, 9am-6pm, 30 minutes, no return within 90 minutes) in a south-east direction from the Cottingham Road roundabout, to be replaced with No Waiting at Any Time, as detailed in Schedule 1.
