BOURNEMOUTH, CHRISTCHURCH AND POOLE COUNCIL

LANSDOWNE ROAD, BOURNEMOUTH – HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT WORKS TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council intends to make temporary traffic regulations, with the effects detailed below, to control traffic.

WHAT:

• Road closed to all vehicles and

• No parking – no waiting at any time and no loading/unloading at any time

WHERE: Lansdowne Road, from its junction with Madeira Roundabout to the property boundary of No.11 Lansdowne Road

WHY: To facilitate highway improvement works by BCP Council

WHEN: Anticipated dates 23rd March 2026 until 13th April 2026

ACCESS: Full emergency services access will be maintained, access to properties will remain depending on site safety.

DIVERSION:

Northbound direction via Holdenhurst Road, St Paul’s Road, Oxford Road, Lansdowne Road

Southbound direction via Oxford Road, St Paul’s Road (westbound), St Paul’s Road (eastbound), Bournemouth Station Roundabout, Holdenhurst Road, Lansdowne Road

These arrangements may be amended/extended should works overrun or weather conditions delay operations. Restrictions may be in effect under this Order for up to 18 months, and could be further extended with the approval of the Secretary of State.
