What is happening?


THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(THE CRESCENT) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council have made an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from proceeding along The Crescent closed in both directions between properties 65 - 67.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months it is anticipated that the road closure will be in place from between the hours of 08:00 – 16:00 on the 15th March 2026 (approximately).
The vehicular diversion route is: Regis Road, Wergs Road, Wrottesley Road, Woodthorne Road South, Yew Tree Lane, School Road and vice versa.
The Order is required to facilitate the repair of a dangerous manhole frame and cover by Severn Trent Water.
