Queens Place - Temporary Road Closure

Portsmouth City Council (Queens Place) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.44) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 16th March 2026 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
QUEENS PLACE
In its entirety.
YARBOURGH ROAD
From its junction with Elm Grove to St Edwards Road (access only to its junction with Worsley Road).
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate Openreach works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 16th March 2026 to 20th March 2026 completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from:
Queens Crescent, Grove Road South, Elm Grove, Castle Road, St Edwards Road; and St Edwards Road, Pelham Road, Elm Grove, Grove Road South, Queens Crescent; and Yarborough Road, Elm Grove, Woodpath, The Retreat, Pelham Road, St Edwards Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
