NOTICE OF MAKING AN ORDER
HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 SECTION 119
PUBLIC FOOTPATH CC4 (PART) IN THE PARISH OF BOUGHTON AND
PUBLIC FOOTPATH CE17 (PART) IN THE PARISH OF CHURCH WITH
CHAPEL BRAMPTON PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2026

The above order, made on 3rd March 2026 under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, will divert part of Public Footpaths CC4 and CE17 running from point A (grid reference SP7372 6569) on the Order Map (reference CC4CE17/SLC/Plan-1) proceeding in a generally northerly direction for 88 metres to point B (SP7367 6575). The route then proceeds in a generally north-north-easterly direction for 90 metres to the parish boundary at point C (SP7369 6583). The route then continues in the parish of Church with Chapel Brampton, travelling in a generally north-northwesterly direction for 408 metres to point D (SP7348 6611), shown by a bold continuous black line between A-B-C-D. The proposed new route commences at the junction with Footpath CC5 at point E (SP7367 6563) and proceeds in a generally west-north-westerly direction for 81 metres to the parish boundary at point F (SP7359 6565). The route then continues in the parish of Church with Chapel Brampton proceeding in a generally west-north-westerly direction for 50 metres to the crossing point of the River Nene at point G (SP7355 6567). The route then proceeds in a generally northerly direction for 468 metres to terminate at point D (SP7348 6611) at its junction with Footpath CE17. The proposed new route will have a width of 1.8 metres and is shown by a bold broken black line between points E-F-G-D.

Any representation about or objection to the order may be delivered in writing to the Definitive Map Team at West Northamptonshire Council, One Angel Square, Angel Street, Northampton, NN1 1ED or by email to defmap.ncc@westnorthants.gov.uk not later than 9th April 2026 quoting reference SLC/164 in either case. Please state the grounds on which it is made.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, West Northamptonshire Council may itself confirm the order as an unopposed order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.
