(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2026
The Scottish Borders Council (The Old Sawmill, Mordington Holdings) (Temporary Closing) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 18 March 2026 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of one day between the hours of 08:00 and 20:00. The Order is required for replacement of electricity pole.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along The Old Sawmill, Mordington Holdings.
The alternative route for northbound traffic is via the D93/6, A6105, D94/6 and D88/6 to the point of closure, for southbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

The Scottish Borders Council (C81 Mersington, Greenlaw) (Temporary
Closing) 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 16 March 2026 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of one day between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00. The Order is required for Scottish Water Works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the C81 Mersington, Greenlaw. The alternative route for northbound traffic is via the A697, B6461, C95 and C81 to the point of closure, for southbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

(REGULATIONS OF ACCESS RIGHTS) BYELAWS 2025
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Scottish Ministers in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 12 of the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003, and all other powers enabling them in that regard have confirmed the Scottish Borders Council (Land at Huntlaw and Muirfield Farm)(Regulations of Access Rights) Byelaws 2025 (hereinafter referred to as “the Byelaw”) submitted by the Scottish Borders Council
2. The Byelaw as confirmed restricts the right of access over the area of land at Huntlaw and Muirfield Farm, Hassendean, Hawick, identified more particularly in the plan attached to the published byelaw.
3. A copy of the confirmed byelaws and associated maps have been deposited at the Council’s Contact Centre, 34/44 High Street, Hawick and may be seen there without payment of fee between the hours of 10:00 am and 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm and 3:00 p.m. Monday to Friday. A copy is also available to view at Council Headquarters, Newtown St Boswells and may be seen between the hours of 8:45am and 5:00pm Monday to Thursday. A copy of the confirmed byelaw and associated plan have also been published on the Council website – www.scotborders.gov.uk/byelaws
4. The Order as confirmed becomes operative on 2 April 2026.

(C117 PAXTON) (TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2026
The Scottish Borders Council (C117 Paxton) (Temporary Closing)
Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 16 March 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 25 March 2026, as detailed at Article 3 to this Order. The Order is required for Scottish Water works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the C117 at Paxton, on the dates and at the times specified:
(a) Closure 1:
Three point road closure at the C117/Schoolers Row junction from 09:30 on 16 March 2026 to 19:00 on 17 March 2026. The alternative route for eastbound and southbound traffic is via the to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing; and
(b) Closure 2:
Rolling road closure from junction with The Square, South to the B6461 from 09:30 on 23 March 2026 to 19:00 on 25 March 2026.
The alternative route for northbound traffic is via the C117, B6460, B6461, C117 to the point of closure, for southbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.
