(HARRISON ROAD) (TEMPORARY ROAD RESTRICTION AND TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026 - TEMP/26/51
The Council has made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be that for a temporary period, to facilitate bridge structural repair works, no person shall: (a) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on any part of Harrison Rd: (i) from the extended south-east building line of No. 20 Harrison Rd, south-eastwards to the extended north-west building line of No. 57 Harrison Rd; & (ii) from the extended north-west kerbline of Polwarth Ter, north-westwards for 80m; (b) except with the permission of a Parking Attendant, cause or permit any vehicle to wait or load onto or unload from any vehicle at any time on any part of Harrison Rd, north-west side, from the extended south-east kerbline of Slateford Rd, south-westwards to 8m south-west of the extended north-east building line of No. 20 Harrison Rd. The following Order, “The City of Edinburgh Council (Harrison Road) (No. 3) (Temporary Road Restriction and Traffic Regulation) Order 2025” is hereby revoked. Existing parking restrictions will be suspended on the affected section of road described in (b). The Greenway stopping, waiting, loading & unloading prohibitions shall be suspended in relation to the affected section of Harrison Rd. The alternative routes for through vehicular traffic in relation to the road closures of Harrison Rd are: (i) Harrison Rd, Slateford Rd (A70), Shandon Pl, Ashley Ter, Harrison Gdns & Harrison Rd; & (ii) Polwarth Ter, Ashley Ter, Harrison Gdns & Harrison Rd. The Order shall have effect from 16/03/26 to 31/08/26.
