(Path between Frinton Road and

Bemerton Gardens, Frinton & Walton)

(Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

Effect of the order: To temporarily close the path between Frinton Road and Bemerton Gardens, Frinton & Walton, in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Frinton Road, South/Southwest and then West to its junction with Bemerton Gardens, for approximately 132 metres.

Diversion will be via: Bemerton Gardens, Frinton Road and vice versa.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 09 March 2026 to 20 March 2026 where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required for the safety of the public, while works take place on the footway.

The Order will come into effect on 09 March 2026 may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Back Electric Parade, Clacton On Sea)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Back Electric Parade, Clacton On Sea in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 10m south east of its junction with Jackson Road for a distance of approximately 75m in a south easterly direction.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 30th March 2026 for 14 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30008172297 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new supply works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

No alternative route is available.

The Order will come into effect on 12th March 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Buckfast Avenue & Woburn Avenue, Kirby Cross)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

  1. To temporarily close that length of Buckfast Avenue, Kirby Cross in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Woburn Avenue for a distance of approximately 120m in a northerly then north westerly direction.

  2. To temporarily close that length of Woburn Avenue, Kirby Cross in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Buckfast Avenue for a distance of approximately 140m in a westerly direction.

The closures are scheduled to commence on 14th April 2026 for 15 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP40020287184 & EP40023917609 – GTM). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while street light installation works are undertaken by GTM.

The Order will come into effect on 12th March 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Burrs Road, Clacton On Sea)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic &

Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

  1. To temporarily close that length of Burrs Road, Clacton On Sea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Kestrel Way to its junction with Hillcrest a distance of approximately 115m

  2. To temporarily introduce a ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ in the above length of road for the duration of the closure only.

“The Essex County Council (Tendring Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The closure/clearway is scheduled to commence on 7th April 2026 for 7 nights (20:00–06:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2377092 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure/clearway is required for the safety of the public and workforce while zebra crossing installation works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Burrs Road, B1027, B1369, B1442, Gorse Lane, Burrs Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 12th March 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Byng Close, Thorpe-le-Soken)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Byng Close, Thorpe-le-Soken in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 25m north west of its junction with Byng Crescent for a distance of approximately 35m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 6th April 2026 for 15 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC311001WGMH007X – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while joint box and ducting works are undertaken by Openreach.

No alternative route is available.

The Order will come into effect on 12th March 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Fourth Avenue/Third Avenue/Holland Road &

The Crescent, Frinton On Sea)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

  1. To temporarily close that length of Fourth Avenue, Frinton On Sea in the District of Tendring, from both of its junctions with The Esplanade for a distance of approximately 320m in a northerly direction.

  2. To temporarily close that length of Third Avenue, Frinton On Sea in the District of Tendring, from both of its junctions with The Esplanade to its junction with Holland Road a distance of approximately 350m.

  3. To temporarily close that length of Holland Road, Frinton On Sea in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 145m south west of its junction with Old Road for a distance of approximately 40m in a south westerly direction.

  4. To temporarily close that length of The Crescent, Frinton On Sea in the District of Tendring, from both of its junctions with The Esplanade for a distance of approximately 230m in a north westerly direction.

The closures are scheduled to commence on 30th March 2026 for 57 days (works to be completed in phases), or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5011001488281, AZ5011001479207, AZ5011001488784 & AZ5011001479246 – CADENT GAS LIMITED). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while gas main replacement works are undertaken by CADENT GAS LIMITED.

Alternative routes are available via:

  1. The Esplanade, Third Avenue, Holland Road and vice versa.

  2. The Esplanade, Second Avenue, Holland Road and vice versa.

  3. B1033, The Esplanade, Second Avenue, Ashlyns Road and vice versa.

  4. The Esplanade, Queens Road, Hadleigh Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 12th March 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Nayland Drive, Clacton On Sea)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Nayland Drive, Clacton On Sea in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 235m south west of its junction with Hadleigh Road for a distance of approximately 75m in south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 30th March 2026 for 10 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411001WGPC5H5H – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while spine cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.

No alternative route is available.

The Order will come into effect on 12th March 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Oxford Road, Clacton On Sea)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Oxford Road, Clacton On Sea in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 20m north east of its junction with Severn Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 30th March 2026 for 10 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP003S50-2386 – The Spencer Group). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while water pipe installation works are undertaken by The Spencer Group.

An alternative route is available via A133, B1369, B1027 and vice versa (following one way at Wellesley Road) (with access only into Oxford Road).

The Order will come into effect on 12th March 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Little Clacton Weeley Bypass, Little Clacton)

(Layby’s Only) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) (No.3) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

  1. To temporarily close those lengths of road in the District of Tendring as specified in the Schedule.

The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 26th February 2026 exact dates will be specified on One.Network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.

From a point approximately 290m north east then north west of its junction with Bovills Roundabout for a distance of approximately 120m in a north easterly then north westerly direction.

(Pole Barn Lane, Frinton On Sea)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Pole Barn Lane, Frinton On Sea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Connaught Avenue to its junction with St Marys Road a distance of approximately 385m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 16th March 2026 for 1 night (19:00-04:30), or where stated on a valid permit (EP10000016223 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while bollard replacement works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Connaught Avenue, Greenway, St Marys Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 26th February 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Thorpe Road, Clacton On Sea)

(Temporary Introduction of a 10 MPH Speed Restriction) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily introduce a 10mph speed restriction in that length of Thorpe Road, Clacton On Sea in the District of Tendring from its junction with Credon Drive to its junction with Swallowdale a distance of approximately 115m. The restriction is scheduled to commence on 19th March 2026 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2389171 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The restriction is required for the safety of the public and workforce while footway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

The Order came into effect on 26th February 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
