(Slindon: Reynolds Lane)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Reynolds Lane in Slindon from its junction with the A29 north-westwards for 90M.

The road closure is needed to allow new highway drainage to be installed in safety.

The Order will come into effect on 30 March 2026 and remain in force until 10 April 2026. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

(Singleton: Public Footpath No. 444)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2026

(Singleton: Public Footpath No. 3013)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice WSCC intends to make Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any person from proceeding along lengths of:-

(i) Public Footpath No. 444 from its southern end at its junction with Public Footpath No. 449-2 (487083, 113422), northwards to its junction with the A286 (487419,114352), approximately 1.22KM; and

(ii) Public Footpath No 3013 from its junction with Public Footpath No. 449-2 (486078, 114196), eastwards to its junction with the A286 (487363,114989), approximately 1.77KM.

The Orders are necessary to protect public safety whilst civil engineering works are undertaken in the vicinity. A section of Footpath No. 444 is impacted by construction of a new combined cycleway/footway between Cucumber Farm and Littlewood Farm. A new bridge is being constructed at Littlewood Farm over a section of Public Footpath No. 3013. Unfortunately there are no alternative routes available using the PROW network.

The Orders will come into effect on 31 March 2026 and will last for 6 months or until it is safe to reopen the footpaths.

(Lodsworth – Selham: Fitzlea Wood Road)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to close Fitzlea Wood Road between Selham Road and Graffham Common Road

The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst new water connections are laid.

The Order will come into effect on 16 March 2026 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 30 May 2026.

(Lavant: West Stoke Road)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to close West Stoke Road between Hunters Race and the B2178. The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst water main replacement works are undertaken.

The Order will come into effect on 16 March 2026 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is anticipated works will commence on 16 March 2026 and will take 12 weeks to complete. Any queries about the works to take place should be directed to Portsmouth Water, telephone number 02392 499888. Any queries about the effect of the Order on vehicles using the highway should be directed to WSCC, telephone number 01243 642105.

(Fittleworth: A283 The Fleet)
(30MPH & 40MPH Speed Limit) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made a permanent Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to reduce the speed limit to 30MPH on a length of the A283 The Fleet through Fittleworth village and to introduce a 40MPH buffer on the A283 westbound approach to the village.

The Order will come into operation on 16 March 2026.

Paper copies of documents will not be available to view in council offices or libraries. People without access to a computer who wish to have a copy of the Order should telephone the WSCC Contact Centre on 01243 642105 to receive a copy by post.

Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Orders, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act, or on the grounds that any requirements of the act, or of any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Orders, may within 6 weeks from 12 March 2026, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
