SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
PART OF EIGHTH AVENUE, BRIDLINGTON
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the
date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of
which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding
along part of Eighth Avenue, Bridlington from its
junction with Limekiln Lane westbound to property
number 145 (approximately 30 metres) commencing
6 April 2026 between 19.00 hours until 23.00 hours
for the purposes of providing and fitting a new MH
cover works. The road closure is necessary to enable
the works to be carried out in a manner consistent
with ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is
valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the
works will be completed within four hours.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road
closure will be via Limekiln Lane, Sewerby Road, B1254
Sewerby Road Roundabout, B1254 Fortyfoot, B1254
Flamborough Road and Eighth Avenue, Bridlington CP,
Bridlington Central and Old Town Ward, Bridlington
South Ward, Bridlington North Ward.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of
closure. The road will be closed to all through traffic
but access will be maintained for residents, emergency
vehicles and pedestrians.
