What is happening?

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
BIRKIN LANE, ASHOVER
WHEN: 30 March to 27 April 2026 (09:30 – 15:00 weekdays).
WHERE: Birkin Lane, Ashover from Jct. with A632 and Nethermoor Road.
REASON: To facilitate carriageway patching and drainage works
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Matlock Road, Harper Hill, Swathwick Lane, Langer Lane, New Road and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
