What is happening?

Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA 1984) and
Regulation 3 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Procedure
Regulations 1992 (SI 1992/1215)

ECC/100 (Prohibition of Pedestrians) Order #2 2025 (“the Order”)

EXTENSION

1. Sheffield City Council makes the Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 and any other enabling powers over an area of the highway being ECC/100 at the location of the level crossing.
2. The Extension to the Order was granted because of the likelihood of danger to the public.
3. The Order made on 11 September 2025 was approved by the Secretary of State and an extension to the Order will continue in effect until 11 March 2027 or until completion of works, whichever is earlier.
4. While the Order is in operation: it will prohibit any pedestrian from travelling in the length of footpath as described in paragraph 1 to the Order.
5. A copy of the draft Order may be viewed on request by contacting the Council via

highways@sheffield.gov.uk.
