What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026 PART OF
DOG AND DUCK SQUARE, FLAMBOROUGH

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the
effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing
any vehicle to proceed/from proceeding along part
of Dog and Duck Square, Flamborough from a point
25 metres east of the junction with Tower Street
to its junction with Allison Lane (encompassing
property numbers 8-13) commencing 30 March
2026 at 08.00 hours until 31 March 2026 at 17.00
hours. The reason for the closure is to enable the
proposed part of Dog and Duck Square, Flamborough
laying of a new service works, to be carried out and
completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the
safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works
will be completed within two days. The alternative
route for traffic affected by the Order is via Dog and
Duck Square, Post Office Street and Tower Street,
Flamborough CP, Bridlington North Ward. The road
will be closed to all through traffic but access will be
maintained for residents, emergency vehicles and
pedestrians. The Order will commence 30 March
2026 and continue in force for a period not exceeding
eighteen months or until the works which it is
proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever
is the earlier. Further information can be obtained from
