NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Weston Road, Weston and Crewe Green

Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers proposes to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.

Prohibition of traffic – Weston Road, Weston and Crewe Green – From the junction of Savoy Road Weston Road Roundabout to the entrance to Crewe Hall.

The alternative route will be via Weston Road, Weston Road Roundabout, Meremoor Roundabout, Shavington Bypass, Crewe Green Link Roundabout, David Whitby Way, David Whitby Way Roundabout, Savoy Road Weston Road Roundabout and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route.

This order will come into operation on Friday 27th March 2026 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Friday 10th April 2026.

NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Wirswall Road, Marbury and District

Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.

Prohibition of traffic – Wirswall Road, Marbury and District – From Outside Lake View Beauty and Holistic Therapy to Outside Tower House.

The alternative route will be via Terrick Road, Alport Road, Claypit Street, London Road, Bargates, Tarporley Road, A49 Tarporley Road Roundabout, Whitchurch Road, Quarry Hill, Swanwick Green, Marbury Road, Wirswall Road and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route.

This order will come into operation on Monday 16th March 2026 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Monday 13th April 2026.

NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Heywood Lane/Wilkesley Lane, Dodcott Cum Wilkesley

Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.

Prohibition of traffic – Heywood Lane, Dodcott Cum Wilkesley – For the full extent.

Wilkesley Lane, Dodcott Cum Wilkesley – From the junction of Heywood Lane to outside The Ivy House.

This order will come into operation on Monday 16th March 2026 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Friday 8th May 2026.

Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.

Prohibition of traffic – Hankins Heys Lane, Buerton – From the junction of Woore Road to outside Three Wells Cottage

No diversion required
This order will come into operation on Tuesday 31st March 2026 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Monday 18th May 2026.

NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Bradeley Green Lane, Wirswall

Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.

Prohibition of traffic – Bradeley Green Lane, Wirswall – For the full extent

This order will come into operation on Monday 16th March and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Wednesday 15th April 2026.

Public Rights of Way Notices
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS – Public Footpath No. 16 Parish Of Hassall

Notice is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport in pursuance of the power conferred upon him by sub-section 15 (5) of the aforementioned Section 15 has approved the Order being extended and continuing in force until 12th March 2028.

The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians on the following:

That Public Footpath No.16 in the parish of Hassall, which commences at its junction with Mill Lane at OS grid reference SJ 7598 5892 and runs in a generally northerly direction to its junction with Hassall BR No.15 at OS grid reference SJ 7623 5896.

The closure is necessary to protect the public from danger posed by a partially collapsed and unsafe bridge.

The closure continues the restriction that came into force on 12th September 2024 and will continue in force until 12th March 2028, or until the works required on the bridge are completed.

There is no alternative route.

This order does not prevent any pedestrians with access to premises situated on or adjacent to the public footpath only accessible from the path or by any emergency vehicle.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS – Public Footpath No. 32 (Part) Town of Crewe

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 (1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, that the Cheshire East Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians on the following:

That length of Public Footpath No. 32 Crewe which commences at OS grid reference (OSGR) SJ 7095 5598 and runs in a generally north direction for approx. 98 m. to OSGR SJ 7100 5604.

The closure is necessary to protect the public from danger posed by redundant lighting columns in a poor state of repair on or near the Public Right of Way

The Order continues the restriction that came into force on 17th February 2026 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding 6 months, or until the works required on or adjacent to the footpath are completed
