PROHIBITION OF U-TURN - BELFAST
The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) has made a Statutory Rule entitled “The Prohibition of U-Turns (Belfast) (Amendment) (Northern Ireland) 2026”, (S.R. 2026 No. 25), which comes
into operation on 23rd March 2026.
The Rule will prohibit vehicles proceeding in a northerly direction along College Avenue,
Belfast from making a U-turn at its junction with Castle Street. Vehicles are excepted from the
prohibition in certain circumstances.
A copy of the Rule may be viewed at DfI offices during office hours (Monday to Friday 9.00
a.m. to 5.00 p.m.) by appointment only. Appointments can be arranged either by email to

traffic.eastern@infrastructure-ni.gov.uk

or by telephone on 0300 200 7899. The Rule may also
be viewed online at

PARKING AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS -
BELFAST
The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) has made a Statutory Rule entitled “The Parking and
Waiting Restrictions (Belfast) (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2026”, (S.R. 2026 No.
28), which comes into operation on 19th March 2026.
The Rule will prohibit vehicles waiting at any time (loading and unloading not permitted) on a
length of Upper Knockbreda Road, Belfast.
Vehicles are excepted from the restrictions in certain circumstances.
A copy of the Rule may be viewed at DfI offices during office hours (Monday to Friday 9.00
a.m. to 5.00 p.m.) by appointment only. Appointments can be arranged either by email to
