What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -
SECTION 14 THE COUNTY OF DEVON (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION)
(A385 BRIDGETOWN HILL, TOTNES)
ORDER 2026 TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council has made the above titled order. From 16/3/26 for a maximum of 18 months.
Anticipated Finish 25/3/26.
Between the hours of 20:00 & 06:00.
No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed on the sections of Affected Roads.
Roads affected: A385 BRIDGETOWN HILL, TOTNES.
The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - A385 TO TWEENAWAY CROSS A380 TO PENN INN, A381 TO JCT WITH A385 ON TO BRIDGETOWN HILL.
This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: RESURFACING HFS & ROAD MARKINGS.

From 8/4/26 for a maximum of 18 months.
Anticipated Finish 16/4/26.
No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed on the
sections of Affected Roads.
Roads affected: TAVISTOCK ROAD, PRINCETOWN.
The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - ROAD FROM RENDLESTONE CROSS TO TWO BRIDGES, ROAD FROM NEW LONDON TO TWO BRIDGES, TWO BRIDGES ROAD & VICE VERSA.
This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: PATCHING.

The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - LOWER BULKAMORE CROSS TO BROWNSTON CROSS, ROAD FROM BROWNSTON CROSS TO WILLING CROSS, WILLING GATE TO WILLING CROSS, ALMSHOUSE CROSS TO WILLING GATE, YELLAND CROSS TO ALMSHOUSE CROSS AT ZC347 ALONG ZC116, YELLAND CROSS TO LOWER BULKAMORE CROSS, LOWER BULKAMORE CROSS TO BROWNSTON CROSS.
This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: DRAINAGE.
