What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -
SECTION 14 THE COUNTY OF DEVON
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION)
(A386 BASSET’S CROSS, HATHERLEIGH)
ORDER 2026 TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council has made the above titled order.
From 16/3/26 for a maximum of 18 months.
Anticipated Finish 31/3/26. Between the hours of 19:00 & 06:00.
No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed on the sections of Affected Roads.
Roads affected: A386 BASSET’S CROSS, HATHERLEIGH. The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - A386 ROUNDABOUT HATHERLEIGH, A3072, A3079, A386 & VICE VERSA.
This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: RESURFACING & DRAINAGE WORK.

ORDER 2026 TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC & PARKING
NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council intends to make the above titled order.
From 6/4/26 for a maximum of 18 months.
Anticipated Finish 11/4/26.
Between the hours of 19:00 & 07:00.
No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed or wait on the sections of Affected Roads.
Roads affected: HAMELDOWN RD, OKEHAMPTON.
The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - BEARDOWN RD - B3260 - B3215 - NEXUS WAY - KELLANDS LANE - VICE VERSA.
This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: RESURFACING.

Anticipated Finish 24/4/26.
No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed on the sections of Affected Roads. Roads affected: ROAD FROM CREDITON ROAD TO
CHICHACOTT CROSS, OKEHAMPTON.
The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - CREDITON RD, BARTON RD, EXETER RD, A30, A382, A3124, A3072, B3215, CREDITON RD & VICE VERSA.
This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: ROAD SAFETY VISIBILITY IMPROVEMENTS.
