(BLACKBURN ROAD (A674), CHORLEY, CHORLEY BOROUGH) (REVOCATION AND 50MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 202*
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council propose to make the above Speed Limit Order under Sections 82(2), 83(2) and 84 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to:
1. Revoke the "Lancashire County Council (Various Roads, Chorley, Fylde, Preston, West Lancs And Wyre) (Revocation, 20mph, 40mph And Derestricted Speed Limits) Order 2026" insofar as it relates to Items a), b) and c) of Schedule 2.
Where no further speed limit is re-introduced, the speed limit will revert to restricted road status by virtue of street lighting, where a 30mph speed limit will apply.
2. Introduce a 50mph speed limit on Blackburn Road (A674), Chorley, from a point 33 metres north of its junction with the centreline of B6228 Blackburn Road for a distance of 57.5 metres in a northerly direction.
A copy of the draft Order and associated documents for proposing to make the Order may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Chorley Borough Council, Town Hall, Market Street, Chorley, PR7 1DP and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, Fishergate, Preston PR1 8XJ, and on Lancashire County Councils Website
