Victoria Road North - Temporary Road Closure

Portsmouth City Council (Victoria Road North) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.47) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 23rd March 2026 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
BRITANNIA ROAD NORTH
From its junction with Victoria Road North to its junction with Britannia Road.
BAILEY'S ROAD
From its junction with Victoria Road North for 20 metres.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate Openreach works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 23rd March 2026 to 27th March 2026 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from:
Britannia Road, Stansted Road, Fawcett Road, Lawrence Road, Campbell Road, Outram Road, Victoria Road North; and
Victoria Road North, Montgomerie Road, St Andrews Road; and
Baileys Road, St Davids Road, Victoria Road North.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
