Norfolk County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, hereby give notice that:
i) THEY PROPOSE TO MAKE Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders in respect of the following roads:
AYLMERTON – A148 Holt Road from its junction with A1082 Holway Road to its junction with B1436 Cromer Road to facilitate road marking and carriageway lining works between 19:00 and 05:00 from the 9th to 11th March 2026 (may continue until 22nd April 2026). Alternative route is via A148 Holt Road, A148 West Street, A149 Prince of Wales Road, A149 Hamilton Road, A149 Church Street, A149 Mount Street, A149 Louden Road, A149 Runton Road, A149 Cromer Road, A149 High Street, A1082 Holway Road (Aylmerton, Sheringham, Cromer, Upper Sheringham, Runton, Felbrigg, Beeston Regis). BARSHAM – Long Lane from its junction with B1105 Barsham Road to its junction with U14055 Trap Lane to facilitate carriageway repairs. The Road will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrian access) and The Norfolk County Council (Fakenham, Long Lane)(Prohibition of Entry) Order 2025 will be temporarily suspended to allow traffic to enter U14019 Long Lane from its junction with the A148 Fakenham Roundabout on the 11th March 2026 (may continue until 22nd April 2026). Alternative route is via: Long Lane, A148 Fakenham Bypass, B1105 Barsham Road (Fakenham, Barsham, Sculthorpe). The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.
CAISTER-ON-SEA – U69780 Brooke Avenue from its junction with C483 Norwich Road for 20m northwards to facilitate S278 highway construction works from 9th March to 3rd April 2026 (may continue until 3rd October 2026). Alternative route is via: Brooke Avenue, Breydon Way, Thames Way, Prince of Wales Road, Norwich Road (West Caister, Caister-on-Sea). The works promoter is Persimmon Homes.
DUNTON, SHEREFORD AND TOFTREES – A) U14040 Church Lane from its junction with A1065 Swaffham Road to its junction with C333 Helhoughton Road and B) A1065 Swaffham Road from its junction with Lamb Lane for 1800m south-westwards to facilitate carriageway patching repair works. The road A) will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrian access), and the road B) shall be temporarily subject to the imposition of a 30mph speed restriction from 10th to 13th March 2026 (may continue until 24th April 2026). Alternative route is via: U14040 Church Lane, C333 Helhoughton Road, A1065 Swaffham Road (Hempton and Dunton, Shereford and Toftrees). The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.
GREAT YARMOUTH – Alexandra Avenue from its junction with Hamilton Road for 185m northwards to facilitate re-laying lead pipe works from 9th to 20th March 2026 (may continue until 1st May 2026). Alternative route is via: Barnard Avenue, Royal Avenue, Hamilton Road. The works promoter is Essex and Suffolk Water.
GREAT YARMOUTH – Nelson Road South from its junction with Camperdown for 35m southwards to facilitate gas service disconnection works from 10th to 16th March 2026 (may continue until 27th April 2026). Alternative route is via: Queens Road, Camden Road, Blackfriars Road, St Peters Road and vice versa. The works promoter is Cadent.
HAINFORD – C246 Buxton Road from its junction with Church Road for 300m northwards to facilitate pole testing works on 11th March 2026 (may continue until 22nd April 2026). Alternative route is via: Buxton Road, B1354 Old Church Road/Waterloo Road, A140 Cromer Road, Church Street, Crown Road, Spixworth Road, Church Lane, Buxton Road, Court Hill (Spixworth, Frettenham, Horsford, Horsham St. Faith and Newton St. Faith, Hainford). The works promoter is BT Openreach.
HOLKHAM – Holkham Footpath 1 from 770m north of its junction with the A149 Main Road for 250m northwards to facilitate boardwalk repair works from 7th to 17th March 2026 (may continue until 28th April 2026). Alternative route is via: Holkham Footpath 1. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.
HOLT – A) U14380 Market Place footway from 10m south of its junction with Bull Street for 20m southwards and B) 1F146 Market Place footway from its junction with U14380 Market Place for 20m westwards to facilitate installation of a new electrical connection between 08:00 and 18:00 from 9th to 12th March 2026 (may continue until 23rd April 2026).
Alternative route is via: Market Place, Market Place To Shirehall Plain, Market Place To Market Place. The works promoter is UK Power Distribution Ltd.
HORSFORD – C253 Church Street from its junction with A140 Cromer Road for 80m westwards to facilitate pole testing on 11th March 2026 (may continue until 22nd April 2026). Alternative route is via: Church Street, B1149 Holt Road/Brewery Lane, A1270 Broadland Northway, A140 Cromer Road (Horsford, Horsham St. Faith and Newton St. Faith). The works promoter is BT.
HOVETON – C398 St Peters Lane from its junction with A1151 Stalham Road for 200m westwards to facilitate clearance of telecommunications blockages between 19:00 and 23:00 from 9th to 13th March 2026 (may continue until 24th April 2026). Alternative route is via: A1151 Stalham Road, School Road, Stone Lane, St Peters Lane (Hoveton, Ashmanhaugh, Neatishead). The works promoter is CityFibre Metro Networks Ltd.
NEATISHEAD – A) U19071 Common Road from its junction with U19119 Church Lane to its junction with C404 Hall Road and B) C404 Irstead Road/Birds Lane from its junction with C404 Hall Road for 470m southwards to facilitate new duct installation works from 9th to 17th March 2026 (may continue until 28th April 2026). Alternative route is via: Common Road, School Road, Horning Road, Irstead Road/Birds Lane (Horning, Neatishead). The works promoter is CityFibre Metro Networks Ltd.

NORTH WALSHAM – A) C557 Market Street from its junction with C560 Mundesley Road for 30m eastwards and B) C557 Market Place from its junction with C502 New Road to its junction with C561 King Arms Street and C) C557 Market Place from its junction with C502 New Road to its junction with C561 King Arms Street and D) C558 Church Street at its junction with C557 Market Place and E) C560 Mundesley Road (southwest-bound lane only) from its junction with U10330 Vicarage Street to its junction with C557 Market Street and F) C557 Market Street from 30m east of its junction with C560 Mundesley Road to its junction with C561 Kings Arms Street to facilitate new water connection works. The Road A will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrian access) and; traffic (constituting any class of vehicle) over the Road B shall be temporarily subject to the suspension of the one-way system (eastbound) and; the Road C shall be temporarily subject to the imposition of a one-way system (westbound) and the effect of this is that vehicles will only be allowed to travel in a westerly direction and; traffic (constituting any class of vehicle) over the Road D shall be temporarily restricted from turning left onto C557 Market Place and; traffic (constituting any class of vehicle) over the Road E shall be prohibited and; traffic (constituting any class of vehicle) over the Road F shall be temporarily subject to the suspension of the one-way system (eastbound) to allow vehicles to travel in both an easterly and westerly direction between 19:00 and 06:00 from 11th to 12th March 2026 (may continue until 23rd April 2026). Alternative route is via: Mundesley Road, Lyngate Road, B1145 North Walsham By-pass, A149 North Walsham By-pass, Norwich Road, Grammar School Road, Yarmouth Road, Market Place. RAYNHAM – Heath Road from its junction with C524 Massingham Road to its junction with C522 Weasenham Road to facilitate carriageway repairs on 12th March 2026 (may continue until 23rd April 2026). Alternative route is via: C524 Massingham Road, C522 Weasenham Road (Weasenham All Saints, Little Massingham, West Rudham, Helhoughton, Weasenham St. Peter). ROUGHTON – A140 Norwich Road from its junction with Parrow Lane to its junction with A149 North Walsham Road to facilitate road marking works between 19:00 and 05:00 from the 10th to 12th March 2026 (may continue until 23rd April 2026). SPROWSTON – C283 Salhouse Road from its junction with A1042 Mousehold Lane to its junction with Woodside Road to facilitate surface dressing preparation for carriageway repair works from 11th to 12th March 2026 (may continue until 23rd April 2026). KING’S LYNN – A) U20441 Waterloo Street from its junction with Blackfriars Road for 30m westwards and B) U20441 Waterloo Street from 30m west of its junction with Blackfriars Road to its junction with Railway Road to facilitate new water connection works, the Road A will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrian access) and Road B shall be temporarily subject to the suspension of the one-way system (eastbound) to allow vehicles to travel in both an east and west direction from 9th to 11th March 2026 (may continue until 22nd April 2026). LITTLE MASSINGHAM – U22010 Church Lane from its junction with U22011 Mad Dog Lane to its junction with C72 Lynn Lane to facilitate civil sewer works from 9th to 30th March 2026 (may continue until 30th September 2026). Alternative route is via Lynn Lane, Station Road, Church Lane (Great Massingham, Little Massingham). The works promoter is Carbon Construction.
NORTHWOLD AND WHITTINGTON – A) C59 West End from its junction with A134 Thetford Road for 45m eastwards and B) C59 West End from 45m east of its junction with A134 Thetford Road for 45m south-westwards to facilitate signpost installation works on 9th March 2026 (may continue until 20th April 2026).
