THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(SHOWELL ROAD) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council have made an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on Showell Road in both directions at the railway bridges.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken from 20:00 on 7 March 2026 until 05:00 on 8 March 2026.
The diversion route is: Bushbury Lane, Showell Road and vice versa.
The Order is required to facilitate bridge examination works by Network Rail.
