LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
The Definitive Map and Statement of Public Rights of Way for the County of Lancashire
Bridleway on SANDYHALL lane, BARROWFORD
Definitive Map Modification Order 2025

The above Order, made on the 15th October 2025, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area, by adding to them a bridleway known as Sandyhall Lane from Wheatley Lane Road to pass between Sandy Hall Barn and Sandy Hall Farm to a gateway and adjacent stone stile and upgrading to a bridleway the public right of way currently recorded as Footpath FP1302019 from said gateway and adjacent stile passing to the east of Noggarth Top Cottage (café) to an open junction with Noggarth Road and Ridge Lane.

A copy of the Order and the Order Map may be seen free of charge at the offices of Pendle Borough Council, and at my offices from 9 am to 5 pm on weekdays. Copies of the order and map may be bought there at the price of £1.00. A copy of the Order and map may be found and downloaded free from our website at

www.lancashire.gov.uk.

Any representations about, or objections to the Order must be sent in writing by email to

or by letter to Sarah Brooks-Silcock, Lancashire County Council, PO Box 100, County Hall, Preston, PR1 0LD (REF: LSG4/888.3271/SBS1) not later than the 17 April 2026 and applicants are requested to state the grounds on which they are made.

If no representations or objections are duly made to the Order, or if any so made are withdrawn, Lancashire County Council, instead of submitting the Order to the Secretary of State for the Environment, may itself confirm the Order. If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (in whole or in part), any representations or objections which have not withdrawn will be sent with it.
