What is happening?

THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council intends not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make the following Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1984. The works will be completed within the period of the Orders. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders are being enforced for public safety.

VARIOUS ROADS & FOOTPATH, SEAGRAVE
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC
INCLUDING PEDESTRIANS, EQUESTRIANS & NON-MOTORISED TRAFFIC
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING & LOADING AT ANY TIME ORDER 2026
It is expected that the Order will come into force on 28/03/2026 and have a maximum duration of 6 months. 
The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 4 months to allow National Grid & their appointed contractors to undertake an electrical reinforcement scheme. 
The proposed diversion route will be signed on site.

The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 119 days to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake junction improvement works.

The proposed diversion route will be via: Tilton Ln, A47 Leicester Rd & vice versa.

The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 3 days to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake carriageway patching works. 
The proposed diversion route will be via: Stoughton Ln, Shady Ln, Gartree Rd, Gaulby Ln & vice versa.

The Order will come into force on 09/03/2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 1 week to allow Severn Trent Water to undertake water cut off works.

EXTENSION NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Order made by the Leicestershire County Council on 27/02/2025 and which came into effect on 10/03/2025 will be continued in force until 10/09/2026 or until the works have been completed. 

The effect of the Order is to continue to allow for the closure and/or restriction of those lengths of roads as specified in the Schedules to this Notice, for public safety to allow Blue Earth Construction & their appointed contractors, acting on behalf of Mountpark to continue to undertake development works, utility connections & infrastructure improvement works. 

No speed limit imposed by this order applies to vehicles falling within regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those Regulations.
