Horsham Road (C48) Walliswood Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 27 February 2026, Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Horsham Road (C48) Walliswood as extends from the eastern boundary of the property known as “Hollyoak Cottage” to the western boundary of the property known as “September Cottage”.
Alternative route – Horsham Road, Horsham Lane, Somersbury Lane, B2128 (Horsham Road), Furzen Lane and Horsham Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable M Group Telecoms to facilitate pole replacement and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 17 March 2026 for 1 day between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services to properties within the site, as well as for residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
East Street (D2557) Bookham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 27 February 2026, Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of East Street (D2557) Bookham as extends from its junction with Lower Road (D265) and the access for the property known as “Church View”. Alternative route – High Street and A246 (Leatherhead Road), or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable Network Power Connections to facilitate low voltage cable connection to supply new EV chargers at The Old Crown and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 16 March 2026 for 2 weeks between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Asylum Road to Three Arch Road (T9106) Redhill Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 27 February 2026, Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit the use of the Townpath from Asylum Road to Three Arch Road (T9106) Redhill.
Alternative route – T9087 Townpath Asylum Arch Road to Railway Bridge, T9086 Townpath Earlsbrook Road to Asylum Arch Road, Earlsbrook Road, St Johns Road, Woodlands Road, A23 (Horley Road) and Three Arch Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable the Council to facilitate resurfacing and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible during the 6-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 16 March 2026, between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Park Lane East (D1224) Reigate Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 04 March 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Park Lane East (D1224) Reigate as extends from its junction with (D1298) Sandcross Lane to its junction with (D1224) Park House Drive. Alternative Route: Park Lane East, Eastnor Road, North Road, and Sandcross Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate mains water repair works for, or on behalf of Thames Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 12 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 16 March 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. It will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency services, residents and businesses and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
East Grinstead Road (C88) Lingfield Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:- (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of East Grinstead Road (C88) Lingfield as extends from its junction with Felcourt Road (C88) to the access for the property known as “3 Manor House”; and (b) suspend “The Surrey County Council East Grinstead Road (C88), Felcourt Road (C88) and Blackberry Lane (D412) Lingfield Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025” insofar as it relates to (a).
Alternative route – Felcourt Road, Lingfield Road, A22 (London Road, Woodcock Hill and Eastbourne Road) and B2028 (Newchapel Road and Plaistow Street), or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable the Council to facilitate bridge repairs following a bridge strike and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible during the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 30 March 2026. Works are anticipated to last for one month between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm on weekdays and weekends.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
Westview Road (D1390) Warlingham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Westview Road (D1390) Warlingham as extends from its junction with Southview Road (D1390) to its junction with The Mount (X35215).
Alternative route – Westview Road, Westhall Road, Narrow Lane, Succombs Hill and Southview Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to enable Circet to facilitate blockage removal and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 30 March 2026 for 2 days between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Lesbourne Road (D1219) Reigate Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Lesbourne Road (D1219) Reigate as extends from the eastern boundary of the property known as “98 Lesbourne Road” to the western boundary of the property known as “96 Lesbourne Road”.
Alternative route – Lesbourne Road, Glovers Road, South Road and Lesbourne Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable UKPN to facilitate the installation of underground service cables and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 30 March 2026 for 6 days between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services to properties within the closure as well as for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Tower Lane (D1165) Reigate Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Tower Lane (D1165) Reigate as extends from its junction with Rocky Lane (D1178) to its junction with Back Lane (D1165).
Alternative route – Back Lane, Wray Lane, A217 (Reigate Hill – anticlockwise only), Raglan Road (anti-clockwise only), A242 (Croydon Road – anti-clockwise only and Gatton Park Road), A23 (London Road South, High Street and London Road North) and Gatton Bottom, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable Wallace Timber to facilitate tree felling and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 30 March 2026 for 2 days between the hours of 9.30am and 4.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Epsom Lane South (D1108) Tadworth Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Epsom Lane South (D1108) Tadworth as extends from its junction with Shelvers Way (D1106) to its junction with Cross Road (D1107).
Alternative route – Epsom Lane South, Shelvers Way, B290 (Ashurst Road), Cross Road and Epsom Lane South, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable the Council to facilitate drainage improvements and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible during the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 30 March 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for residents, businesses, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Cobham Road (D2508) Stoke D’Abernon Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Cobham Road (D2508) Stoke D’Abernon as extends from its junction with (A245) Woodlands Lane to its junction with (X15193) Langaller Lane.
Alternative Route: (1) Cobham Road, (B2122) Guildford Road, (B2122) Waterway Road, (A245) Station Road, (A245) Station Approach Road, (A245) Randalls Road, (A245) Woodlands Road, and (A245) Woodlands Lane; (2) (A245) Woodlands Lane, (A245) Woodlands Road, (A245) Randalls Road, (A245) Bull Hill, (A245) Station Road, (B2122) Waterway Road, (B2122) Guildford Road, and Cobham Road. This Order is required to facilitate structural replacement works to the Cobham Road Viaduct for, or on behalf of Jackson Civil Engineering. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 9 weeks, between the hours of 9pm and 6am, for weekend night works, and if required 8pm and 10am, Monday to Friday nightworks, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 30 March 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times via the banksmen on site. Due to the nature of the works, there will be no access through the closure, and all traffic including emergency service vehicles, will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
Tanhurst Lane (D289) Abinger Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Tanhurst Lane (D289) Abinger. Alternative Route: Leith Hill Lane, (B2126) Ockley Road, and (B2126) Holmbury Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate mains water utility works for, or on behalf of Thames Water.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 31 March 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, there will be no access through the closure, and all traffic, including emergency service vehicles, will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
Lyefield Lane (D279) Forest Green Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Lyefield Lane (D279) Forest Green. Alternative Route: Lower Breache Road, North Breache Lane, and (B2127) Ockley Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate mains water utility works for, or on behalf of Thames Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 30 March 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, there will be no access through the closure, and all traffic including emergency service vehicles, will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
Church Hill (C67) Nutfield Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Church Hill (C67) Nutfield as extends from its junction with (A25) Bletchingley Road and (A25) High Street to its junction with the access to the property known as “Beechfield Cottages”.
Alternative Route: Church Hill, Nutfield Marsh Road, Cormongers Lane, (A25) Nutfield Road, and (A25) High Street, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate gas mains decommission works for, or on behalf of SGN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 14 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 30 March. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
Money Avenue (D1399) Caterham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Money Avenue (D1399) Caterham. This Order is required to facilitate gas mains connection works for, or on behalf of SGN.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 10 days, between the hours of 9am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 30 March 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists. There is no alternative route for this closure.
St Piers Lane (D418) Lingfield Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic from entering or proceeding in that length of St Piers Lane (D418) Lingfield as extends from its junction with the access to the property known as “Roy Williams House” to its junction with the access to the property known as “Neville Childhood Epilepsy Centre”. Alternative Route: St Piers Lane, Starborough Road, (B2028) Moor Lane, (B2028) Racecourse Road, and St Pier Lane, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate gas mains disconnection works for, or on behalf of SGN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 15 days, between the hours of 9am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 30 March 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via road plates on site, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
Various in Tandridge Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate carriageway surfacing and/ or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 25 March 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.
Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.
