MICRO SURFACING PROGRAMME MARCH 2026

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and the Traffic Management Act 2004, has made temporary traffic regulations, with the effects detailed below, to control traffic.

WHAT, WHERE AND WHEN:

The following will be closed to all vehicles with no parking, no waiting at any time and no loading/unloading at any time. Any vehicles left obstructing the works risk receiving a Penalty Charge Notice and being removed. Works are anticipated to take place between 08:00hrs until 18:00hrs. Works dependent on the weather –

POOLE –

Monkton Crescent, for its entirety – anticipated date 6th March

Bridport Road, for its entirety – anticipated date 7th and 8th March

Bradstock Close, for its entirety – anticipated dates 6th and 7th March

Encombe Close, for its entirety – anticipated dates 6th and 7th March

Talbot Drive, for its entirety – anticipated 8th March

Sandecotes Road, for its entirety – anticipated dates 9th to 11th March

Compton Avenue, from the junction with Alton Road to the junction with Compton Avenue Roundabout – anticipated dates 9th to 11th March

Links Road, for its entirety – anticipated dates 11th and 12th March

CHRISTCHURCH –

Chewton Farm Road, for its entirety – anticipated dates 12th and 13th March

Walkford Road, for its entirety – anticipated dates 16th and 17th March

BOURNEMOUTH –

Tregonwell Road, from property boundary of No.3 to property boundary of No.19 – anticipated 17th and 18th March

Owls Road, for its entirety – anticipated dates 18th to 20th March

Boscombe Spa Road, from the junction with Christchurch Road to the junction with Owls Road – anticipated dates 18th to 20th March 2026

Northbourne Gardens, for its entirety – anticipated date 20th March

Kinson Road, from the junction with Columbia Road to junction with Wimborne Road (A341) – anticipated dates 21st to 24th March

Northbourne Place, for its entirety – anticipated date 24th March

Northbourne Avenue, for its entirety – anticipated date 25th and 26th March

WHY: To facilitate micro surfacing works (pot hole prevention surface treatment) by BCP Council

ACCESS: Full emergency services access will be maintained. Residents will be notified by letter regarding access.

DIVERSION: Via signed routes

These arrangements may be amended/extended should works overrun or weather conditions delay operations. Restrictions may be in effect under this Order for up to 18 months, and could be further extended with the approval of the Secretary of State.

The Council regrets any inconvenience to the public caused by this traffic order.
