SECTION 14(1) (AS AMENDED)
The North York Moors National Park Authority has made an Order, the effect of which is to make the following closure in the parish of Hawsker-cum-Stainsacre in the county of North Yorkshire:
Public Footpath 205 Hawsker-cum-Stainsacre: (A-B)
No pedestrian shall proceed along this footpath commencing at Grid Reference NZ 9147 1085 (Point A) and proceeding down the cliff slope in an easterly direction for 220 metres to the beach at Grid Reference NZ 9162 1085 (Point B). A total distance of 220 metres.
The Order is necessary to allow for the existing steps to be removed and the path improved.
There is NO alternative route down to the beach – please stay away whilst the works are taking place.
The Cleveland Way National Trail is unaffected by these works.
The closure takes effect from 1st of March 2025 and will be put into effect by means of the erection of notices and signs. All enquiries to Beth Ghest (Area Ranger – East) on (01439) 772700.
