What is happening?

PUBLIC NOTICE

THE CITY OF SOUTHAMPTON

(OFF-STREET PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT 4) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT SOUTHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL made the above Order on 25?? February 2026, the effects of which will be:

  1. To remove The Quays (North) and The Quays (South) off-street car parks from the Councils management. These car parks will be managed by BH Live Active, The Quays. Please note that all permits and season tickets issued by the Council for these car parks will no longer be valid for use.

  2. To amend the Bargate Street off-street car park to allow Blue Badge Holders to park at all times following the relocation of the Shopmobility services.

This Order will come into operation on 1?? March 2026.

Copies of the Order, relevant map and statement of reasons for proposing can be viewed online at

transport.southampton.gov.uk/TRO or may be inspected Monday – Friday, 10am – 3pm at the Gateway in the Civic Centre, Southampton SO14 7LY.

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant enabling Act, or that a requirement of any such enabling Act or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks from the date of the Order, make application for this purpose to the High Court.
