What is happening?

THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council intends not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make the following Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1984. The works will be completed within the period of the Orders. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders are being enforced for public safety.

SHERRARD STREET, MELTON MOWBRAY
TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF PARKING BAYS ORDER 2026

It is expected that the Order will come into force on 06/04/2026 and have a maximum duration of 1 month. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up 12 days to allow Cadent Gas to undertake a utility connection in the highway.

The proposed diversion route will be signed on site.

The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 2 weeks to allow Quickline Communications to undertake excavation for new duct for telecoms installation. The proposed diversion route will be signed on site.

It is expected that the Order will come into force on 03/04/2026 and have a maximum duration of 4 days. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 4 days to allow Network Rail to undertake level crossing safety inspections. The proposed diversion route will be via: Normanton Ln, Main St, Normanton; New Rd, Alverton Rd, Staunton in the Vale; Newark Rd, Alverton Rd, Kelvington; Newark Rd, Longhedge Ln, Alverton; Spa Ln, Lordship Ln, Station Ln, Orston; Orston Ln, A52, Belvoir Rd, Rectory Ln, Normanton Ln, Bottesford & vice versa.

The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 5 days to allow AVOVE on behalf of Severn Trent Water to undertake a utility installation. The proposed diversion route will be via: Station Rd, Dalby Rd, Old Dalby; Six Hills Rd, Six Hills Ln B676, Lawn Ln, Wood Hill, Main Rd, Old Dalby & vice versa.

The proposed diversion route will be via: Pasture Ln, Gaddesby; Pasture Ln, Great Dalby Rd, Gaddesby Ln, Ashby Folville; Ashby Rd, Main St, Park Hill, Gaddesby & vice versa.

The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 1 day to allow Severn Trent Water to undertake ironwork defect repairs in the highway. The proposed diversion route will be signed on site.
