A723 Motherwell Road, Hamilton Temporary Speed Reduction Order 2026
On 25/02/26 South Lanarkshire Council made the above named Order under Section 1 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended which will make it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle in excess of 30mph through the roadworks on the A723 Motherwell Road (north easterly and south westerly) between a point 170 metres northeast of the extended east kerb line of Palace Grounds Road to a point 120 metres southeast of the extended west kerb line of Airbles Road, Motherwell, a distance of approximately 1,250 metres.
This reduction will be applied on site by the display of traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016. This Order will be in operation from 00.01am on 28/03/26 to 23.59pm on 05/04/26. Order in effect between 8.00pm and 6.00am during works with traffic management removed each morning before the AM peak.
