Public Notices for Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices were served on Thursday 5th March 2026:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following temporary traffic regulation Order under Sections 14(1) and 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS MILTON KEYNES – THE FESTIVAL OF RUNNING EVENT) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2026 (Reference TTRO-2232)
The effect of the Order will be as follows: -
1) To temporarily close parts of Avebury Boulevard (including any car parking area access roads where relevant) and Marlborough Gate in Central Milton Keynes, V7 Saxon Street, H6 Childs Way, H7 Chaffron Way, The Spur Road and Golden Drive in Eaglestone, Waterside in Peartree Bridge, Flaxley Gate in Monkston, Colindale Street in Monkston Park and Tanfield Lane, Milton Road and Swanwick Lane in Broughton.
2) To temporarily prohibit right turn manoeuvres on to V7 Saxon Street from its junctions with H6 Childs Way, H7 Chaffron Way and Fulwoods Drive, Leadenhall and to prohibit right turn manoeuvres onto Saxon Street from Avebury Boulevard in Central Milton Keynes.
The temporary closures and right turn bans will be in effect on Sunday 15th March 2026 (between the hours of 6:00am and 2.00pm. The roads will re-open once the runners have passed through.
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (BRIDLEWAY 015 AND MILLERS WAY (PARTS), BLUE BRIDGE) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026 (Reference TTRO-2356)
The effect of the above-named Order will be to temporary close part of Millers Way and Bridleway 015 to enable Milton Keynes Council to undertake resurfacing and maintenance works.
Bridleway 015, Blue Bridge – from Redway BB01 Blue Bridge to Redway BT04 Bancroft.
Whilst the above length of bridleway is closed, the alternative route will be via Redway BV02, Redway BV01, Redway BV03, Redway BB02, Redway BT01 and Redway BT04 (and vice versa).
Millers Way, Blue Bridge – from Morton Fork to Bradville Roundabout.
Whilst the above length of road is closed, the alternative route will be via Great Monks Street, Monks Way and Grafton Street (and vice versa).
The closure take effect on 16th March – 27th April 2026 (24 Hours).
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (CROFTS END AND HIGH STREET (PARTS), SHERINGTON) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026 (Reference TTRO-2323)
The effect of the above-named Order will be to temporary close parts of Croft End and High Street, Sherington to allow Network Plus to undertake work to replace a gas main.
16th March – 9th April 2026 (24 Hours)
Crofts End, Sherington – from Bedford Road to School Lane.
Whilst the above length of road is closed, the alternative route will be Sherington Road, Chicheley Hill and Bedford Road (and vice versa).
30th March – 12th April 2026 (24 Hours)
High Street, Sherington – from Crofts End to Leys View.
Whilst the above length of road is closed, the alternative route will be Sherington Road, Chicheley Hill and A509 (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (WINDERMERE DRIVE (PART), BLETCHLEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026 (Reference TTRO-2359)
The effect of the above-named Order will be to temporary close part of Windermere Drive, Bletchley to enable Engcon Construction to undertake work to complete resurfacing and reinstatements.
Windermere Drive, Bletchley – from Ness Way to Cullen Place.
Whilst the above length of road is closed, the alternative route will be via Stoke Road.
The closure take effect on 16th to 27th March 2026 (24 Hours).
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (STATION ROAD (PART), WOBURN SANDS) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026 (Reference TTRO-2221)
The effect of the above-named Order will be to temporary close part of Station Road, Woburn Sands to enable Network Rail to undertake maintenance works at the level crossing.
Station Road, Woburn Sands – from its junction with Summerlin Drive to its junction with Turnpike Court.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Newport Road, A421, Bedford Road, Salford Road, A507, A4012, Turnpike Road and Crawley Road (vice versa).
The closure will take effect from 14th (11pm) to 16th March 2026 (4:30am).
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 24th February 2026, made the following temporary traffic regulation Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (GROVEWAY (PART), WAVENDON GATE) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026 (Reference TTRO-2361)
The effect of the above-named Order will be to temporary close part of Groveway, Wavendon Gate to enable Vodafone to swap a telecoms pole.
Groveway, Wavendon Gate – from its junction with Ortensia Drive to its junction with Tongwell Street. The closure take effect overnight from 11th March - 12th March 2026 (19:00 – 05:00).
Whilst the above length of road is closed, the alternative route will be via Standing Way and Tongwell Street (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (UNNAMED ROAD, BULLINGTON END) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026 (Reference TTRO-2332)
The effect of the above-named Order will be to temporary close part of Bullington End to enable CityFibre to excavate and lay ducts.
Unnamed Road, Bullington End – from its junction with Bullington End Road to its junction with Wolverton Road.
The closure take effect on 9th – 16th March 2026 (08:00 – 18:00).
Whilst the above length of road is closed, the alternative route will be via Bullington End Road and Wolverton Road (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS IN BLETCHLEY, HARDMEAD, LITTLE LINFORD AND WOLVERTON) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026 (Reference TTRO-2309)
The effect of the above-named Order will be to temporary close parts of Bletchley, Hardmead Little Linford and Wolverton to enable Anglian Water to undertake maintenance works.
9th – 11th March 2026 (Between 8:00am and 4:00pm)
Church Street, Wolverton (its rear access road) – Outside rear of number 99 Cambridge Street.
10th – 12th March 2026 (24 hours)
Kennet Drive, Bletchley – From its junction with Trent Road to its junction with Derwent Drive.
Whilst the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via Shenley Road, Tweed Drive, Tattenhoe Lane, Lovatt Drive and Avon Grove (and vice versa).
24th March 2026 (09:30 – 16:30)
Linford Lane, Little Linford – Near the access to Parc Farm
Whilst the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via Wolverton Road, Northampton Road and unnamed road between Northampton Road and Little Linford Lane (and vice versa).
9th – 11th February 2026 (24 Hours)
Newton Road, Hardmead – Outside St Mary’s Church
Whilst the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via A422 and Turvey Road (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (PURSE LANE, STOKE GOLDINGTON) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026 (Reference TTRO-2325)
The effect of the above-named Order will be to temporary close part of Purse Lane, Stoke Goldington to enable Openreach to undertake works on telecoms equipment.
Purse Lane, Stoke Goldington outside Woodland Lodge.
Whilst the above length of road is closed, there will be no alternative route however access will be provided when safe to do so.
The closure take effect on 11th to 13th March 2026 (24 Hours).
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (CROWNHILL ROUNDABOUT (PART), CROWNHILL) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026 (Reference TTRO-2365)
The effect of the above-named Order will be to temporary close part of Crownhill Roundabout, Crownhill to enable Hutchinson 3G to undertake works to upgrade the telecoms site.
Crownhill Roundabout, Crownhill – from its eastern access to its southern exit.
Dansteed Way, Great Holm (its westbound carriageway only) - from its junction with Kensington Drive to its junction with Crownhill Roundabout
Whilst the above length of road is closed, the alternative route will be via Grafton Street, Portway and Watling Street.
The closure will take effect from 11th to 13th March 2026 (09:30 – 16:00).
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (ALL ROADS WTHIN MILTON KEYNES – HIGHWAY MAINTENANCE) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026 (Reference TTRO-2349)
The effect of the above-named Order will be to temporarily prohibit any vehicle from entering, waiting or proceeding along any road within Milton Keynes when the following highways maintenance works are required to be carried out:
bridge inspections
litter picking
street lighting
bridge repairs
mechanical sweeping
street name plates
drainage
micro-asphalt
stud replacement
gritting
pot hole repairs
surface dressing
gully cleaning
re-surfacing
traffic signals
landscaping
road markings
all other maintenance activities
The temporary closure Order will come into effect on 12th March 2026 and shall continue in force for a period of 18 months.
