What is happening?

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
FORDBRIDGE LANE, BLACKWELL
WHEN: 12 March to 13 March 2026 (09:30 to 15:30)
WHERE: Fordbridge Lane, Blackwell between a point adjacent Blackwell Trail for a distance of 125m in a northerly direction.
REASON: To facilitate ducting works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Fordbridge Lane, Hilcote Lane, New Lane, Berristow Lane, Mansfield Road, Carter Lane East, Ball Hill, Water Lane, Main Street, Church Street, Fordbridge Lane and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
