NOTICE – PERMANENT CLOSURE OF THE MARTLETS MULTI-STOREY CAR PARK, BURGESS HILL

(Off-Street Parking Places) Order 2006
(Amendment No.1) Order 2026
The Council hereby gives NOTICE in exercise of its powers under Part IV and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Local Authorities Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 of a proposal to permanently close the Martlets Multi-Storey car park, Burgess Hill.
The Order will come into operation on or around the 31st of March 2026.
In all other respects the provisions of the current Order referred to above will remain in force.
The Order is available for inspection at the offices of the (1) Mid Sussex District Council, Oaklands Road, Haywards Heath, West Sussex, (2) East Grinstead Town Council, East Court, East Grinstead, West Sussex, (3) Haywards Heath Town Council, 40 Boltro Road, Haywards Heath, West Sussex, (4) Burgess Hill Town Council, 96 Church Walk, Burgess Hill, East Sussex.
Any objections and other representations to the Order must be made via email to
monitoringofficer@midsussex.gov.uk
or in writing specifying the grounds of objection addressed to the Monitoring Officer, Mid Sussex District Council, Oaklands, Oaklands Road, Haywards Heath, West Sussex, RH16 1SS arriving not later than 12 noon on 26th of March 2026. All objections will be considered and may be published as part of a report and made publicly available to view.
