What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC PART OF
DOG AND DUCK SQUARE, FLAMBOROUGH

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will
be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along part
of Dog and Duck Square, Flamborough from a point
25 metres east of the junction with Tower Street to
its junction with Allison Lane (encompassing property
numbers 8-13) commencing 30 March 2026 at
08.00 hours until 31 March 2026 at 17.00 hours for
the purposes of laying a new service works. The road
closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried
out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of
the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is
anticipated that the works will be completed within
two days. The alternative route for traffic affected by
the road closure will be via Dog and Duck Square,
Post Office Street and Tower Street, Flamborough CP,
Bridlington North Ward. The diversion route will be
signed at the time of closure. The road will be closed
to all through traffic but access will be maintained for
residents, emergency vehicles and pedestrians.
