THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(SCHOOL ROAD/WOOD ROAD/CHURCH ROAD/MOUNT ROAD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OFTRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to
make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as
substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting
vehicles from proceeding on the following stretches of road:

· School Road between its junction with Shaw Lane to its junction with Wood Road.

· Wood Road closed between its junction with Teotta Drive to its junction with School Road.

· Church Road closed from outside property 2 to its junction with Wood Road.

· Mount Road closed from outside property 7a to its junction with Church Road.

The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is
anticipated that the works will be undertaken from 16th March 2026 until
20th March 2026, between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00.
The diversion route is: Mill Lane, Wightwick Bank, Bridgnorth Road, Henwood
Road, The Rock, Upper Green, High Street & vice versa.
The Order is required to facilitate lining and patching works to repair defects in the
sewer line by Severn Trent Water.
