(Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2026
Further to notice: Under section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), which commenced on 11 February 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close Footpath 12, Benfleet in the Borough of Castle Point, from its junction with Footpath 31 north east for approximately 32 metres.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 04 March 2026 to 03 September 2026 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required for the safety of the public, due to unsafe usage of the crossing, this footpath will be stopped up permanently.
The alternative route will be via Footpath 31, Footpath 22, Bridleway 60, Footpath 12 and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 04 March 2026 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the crossing has been permanently closed.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Beeleigh West, Fryerns in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with Beeleigh Cross for a distance of approximately 40m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 30th March 2026 for 16 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC311574D126610 – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while duct laying works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Beeleigh West, Quilters Straight, Whitmore Way, The Fremnells and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 5th March 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Dunton Road, Laindon in the Borough of Basildon, from a point approximately 140m west of its junction with Kings Road for a distance of approximately 45m in a westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 30th March 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30070558706 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Shipwrights Drive, Thundersley in the Borough of Castle Point, from its junction with Benfleet Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a north westerly then north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 28th March 2026 for 19 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5021001367381 – Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains replacement works are undertaken by Cadent.
An alternative route is available via Shipwrights Drive, A13, B1014 and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 5th March 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) (No.3) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
To temporarily close those lengths of road in the Borough of Castle Point as specified in schedule to this Order.
A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of the carriageway as per schedule for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.
“The Essex County Council Borough of Castle Point (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 5th March 2026 exact dates will be specified on One.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hunters Avenue, Great Burstead in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with Kennel Lane to its junction with Langham Crescent for a distance of approximately 75m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 16th March 2026 for 26 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP003S50-2407 – GTM). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new foul connection works are undertaken by GTM.
An alternative route is available via Kennel Lane, Hickstars Lane, Well Mead, Langham Crescent and vice versa.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Pound Lane, Laindon in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with Tallis Road for a distance of approximately 120m in a southerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 16th March 2026 for 10 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN013329272 – Essex And Suffolk Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while water connection works are undertaken by Essex And Suffolk Water.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close the (directional eastbound lane only) in that length of Radford Way, Billericay in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with Mountnessing Road for a distance of approximately 535m in a south easterly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 16th March 2026 for 73 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5021001484003 – Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains replacement works are undertaken by Cadent.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Southwell Road, South Benfleet in the Borough of Castle Point, from its junction with Ridgemount to its junction with Tippersfield a distance of approximately 65m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th March 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2397245 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Southwell Road, Hill Road, Fernlea Road, Mount Road, Southwell Road and vice versa.

(Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) (No.1) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily introduce ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction on both sides of the carriageway in those roads in the District of Rochford as per schedule.
Signs will be installed indicating when the restriction will be in force.
“The Essex County Council (Rochford District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of road only.
