CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(LOWER EAST END, HARLINGTON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a

vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the full length of Lower East End, Harlington.

This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway repair works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 30 March to 1 April 2026 between the hours of 0800-1800. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure will be Barton Road, Sundon Rd and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 30 March 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(ICKNIELD WAY, EATON BRAY)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Icknield Way, Eaton Bray between B440 and Dagnall Road.

This temporary closure is required to enable Pre Surface Dressing/ Surface Dressing/ Lining and Civils Works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing. It is expected that the works will take place from 16 to 27 March 2026 between the hours of 0900-1530hrs. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via B440, B4506 and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 16 March 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(CADDINGTON: PART OF FOOTPATH NO. 9 AND PART OF BRIDLEWAY NO. 13)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Central Bedfordshire Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any person proceeding on foot or on horseback or lead a horse or cycle along the lengths of:

I.  Public Footpath No. 9, Caddington which extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 0547 1993 to OS GR TL 0552 1982.

II. Public Bridleway No. 13, Caddington which extends from OS GR TL 0545 1993 to OS GR TL 0546 1993 to OS GR TL 0589 1950.

These temporary closures are required to install weirs to prevent flooding on the highway. The closures are expected to take place from 9 March 2026 for up to six months.

There is no alternative route for footpath or bridleway users while the closure is in operation.

The Order will come into operation on 9 March 2026 for a period not exceeding six months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out on or near to the footpath and bridleway have been completed, whichever is the earlier. If the works are not completed within six months the Order may be extended for a longer period with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(WHIPSNADE: PART OF BRIDLEWAY NO. 1)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Central Bedfordshire Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any person proceeding on foot or on horseback or lead a horse or cycle along the length of Bridleway No. 1, Whipsnade which extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 0121 1828 to OS GR TL 0104 1844.

This temporary closure is required due to severe water damage to the surface. The closure is expected to take place from 5 March 2026 for up to six months.

There is no alternative route for bridleway users while the closure is in operation.
