Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

ASHFORD AREA

B2067 Brook Street, Woodchurch, TN26 3SZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2026

To allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of B2067 Brook Street, Woodchurch from 26th March 2026 for up to one day, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Bourne House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2067 Brook Street, Kenardington Road, Warehorne Road, D1305 11 Acre Wood Lane Junction With B2067 To D1291 Junction With D1305 11 Acre Wood Lane, A2070 Ashford Road, Ashford Road Junction With Bypass Link Road To Hamstreet, A2070 From J A2070/B2080 Roundabout To J A2042, Hamstreet Bypass, A2070 From Ashford Road To District Boundary, A2070 Rhee Wall To Ashford Road, A259 J A2070/B2080 Roundabout, B2080 Rhee Wall Roundabout, Rhee Wall, Brenzett Corner Roundabout, Rhee Wall Road, Station Road, The Street, Tenterden Road, Reading Street, Appledore Road, B2067 Woodchurch Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



B2067 Ruckinge Road, Bilsington.​ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2026

To allow excavation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of B2067 Ruckinge Road, Bilsington from 13th March 2026 for up to one day, between the hours of 09:00 and 15:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed 200m west of The Pastures, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic westbound is via B2067 Hamstreet Road, Bilsington Road, Ruckinge Road, Bonnington Road, Knoll Hill, Roman Road, Aldington Road, Otterpool Lane, A20 Ashford Road, Barrow Hill, Main Road, Hythe Road, A20 A2070 M20 J10a Roundabout, Link Road Between Junction 10a M20 To A2070, A2070 from M20 J10a Roundabout To A2070 Sevington Roundabout W, A2070 Bad Munstereifel Road, A2070 From M20 J10 Roundabout To J A2042 S, A2070 From J A2042 To M20 J10 Roundabout N, Avocet Way, Bad Munstereifel Slip West Bound Off, Hythe Road Roundabout, A2070 J A2042 Roundabout, Bad Munstereifel Slip East Bound On, Hamstreet Bypass, A2070 From J A2070/B2080 Roundabout To J A2042 and B2067 Ashford Road Junction With Bypass Link Road To Hamstreet.

The alternative route for any through traffic eastbound is via B2067 Hamstreet Road, Ruckinge Road, Cock Lane, The Street, Ashford Road, Ashford Road Junction With Bypass Link Road To Hamstreet, A2070 from J A2070/B2080 Roundabout To J A2042, Hamstreet Bypass, Hythe Road Roundabout, A2070 J A2042 Roundabout, Bad Munstereifel Slip East Bound On, A2070 From J A2042 To M20 J10 Roundabout N, Bad Munstereifel Road, A2070 From M20 J10 Roundabout To J A2042 S, Barrey Road, A2070 From A2070 Sevington Roundabout To M20 J10a Roundabout E, Link Road Between Junction 10a M20 To A2070, A20 A2070 M20 J10 Roundabout, A20 Hythe Road, Main Road, Barrow Hill, B2067 Otterpool Lane, Aldington Road, Roman Road, Knoll Hill, Bonnington Road and Bilsington Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Brabourne Road, Wye, TN25 5PP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2026

To allow pole and cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Brabourne Road, Wye from 25th March 2026 with estimated completion by 26th March 2026, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed approximately 380m north of the junction with Hampton Lane heading 100m in a northerly direction, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Brabourne Road, Amage Road, Coldharbour Lane, Wye Road, The Street, New Barn Road, New Barn Hill, Pilgrims Way and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Branch Road & Bagham Road, Chilham.​ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2026

To allow tree works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Branch Road & Bagham Road, Chilham from 23rd March 2026, with estimated completion by 27th March 2026, or until the works have been completed.

The roads will be closed at the junctions where the roads meet, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for Branch Road is via Bagham Road, Hambrook Lane, School Hill, The Square, Taylors Hill, A252 Maidstone Road, Bagham Lane and vice versa.

The alternative route for Bagham Road is via Branch Road, A28, A252 Ashford Road, Canterbury Road, Maidstone Road, Bagham Lane and Bagham Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Britannia Lane & Ashford Road, Kingsnorth and Kingsnorth Road, Ashford.​ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2026

To allow carriageway strengthening works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic, in phases, on part of Britannia Lane & Ashford Road, Kingsnorth and Kingsnorth Road, Ashford from 23rd March 2026 with estimated completion by 9th April 2026, or until the works have been completed.

Phase 1

Britannia Lane

The road will be closed from 23rd March 2026 with estimated completion by 27th March 2026, between the hours of 19:30 and 05:00 only, between Kingsnorth Road roundabout and the junction with Millbank, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Chart Road, Long Length, Coulter Road, Cuckoo Lane, Stanhope Road and Kingsnorth Road.

Phase 2

Britannia Lane, Ashford Road & Kingsnorth Road

The roads will be closed from 27th March 2026 with estimated completion by 9th April 2026, between the hours of 19:30 and 05:00 only.

Britannia Lane will be closed between the junctions with Kingsnorth Road/ Ashford Road and the Kingsnorth Road roundabout, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Brittania Lane, Chart Road, Longlength, Coulter Road, Cuckoo Lane, Knoll Lane, Stanhope Road and Kingsnorth Road.

Ashford Road will be closed between the junctions with Romney Marsh Road and Britannia Lane/Kingsnorth Road roundabout, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Kingsnorth Road, Tennyson Road, Wootton Road, Malcolm Sargeant Road, Romney Marsh Road vice versa.

Kingsnorth Road will be closed between the junctions with Millbank and Ashford Road/Britannia Road roundabout, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Kingsnorth Road, Tennyson Road, Wootton Road, Malcolm Sargeant Road, Romney Marsh Road vice versa.



Catts Hill, Stone.​ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2026

To allow frame and cover works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Catts Hill, Stone from 23rd March 2026, with estimated completion by 27th March 2026, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Catts Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Catts Hill, Appledore Road, Ferry Road, B2080 Tenterden Road, Reading Street, B2067 East Hill, Oaks Road, East Cross, High Street, West Cross, B2082 Smallhythe Road, Peening Quarter Road, Poplar Road, Stocks Road, Wittersham Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Chapel Lane, Egerton.​ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2026

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Chapel Lane, Egerton from 9th March 2026, with estimated completion by 13th March 2026, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Stormgard, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Crocken Hill Road, Forstal Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Chart Road, Great Chart, TN23 3AB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2026

To allow pole and cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Chart Road, Great Chart from 24th March 2026 with estimated completion by 25th March 2026, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions with Singleton Hill and Bartletts Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Singleton Hill, Tithe Barn Lane, Knoll Lane, Cuckoo Lane, Chart Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Egerton Road & Charing Heath Road, Charing.​ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2026

To allow pole and cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Egerton Road & Charing Heath Road, Charing from 26th March 2026 with estimated completion by 27th March 2026, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed. Only one closure will take place at any one time.

Egerton Road will be closed between the junctions with Church Hill and Hurst Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Charing Heath Road, Pluckley Road, Station Road, A20 Ashford Road, Maidstone Road and Tile Lodge Road.

Charing Heath Road will be closed between the junctions with Hurst Lane and Newlands Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Wind Hill Lane, Tile Lodge Road, Charing Heath Road, A20 Maidstone Road, Ashford Road, Forstal Road, Lenham Forstal Road, Lenham Heath Road, Church Hill and Egerton Road.



Frensham Road, Rolvenden, TN17 4NH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2026

To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Frensham Road, Rolvenden from 9th March 2026, with estimated completion by 13th March 2026, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Maytham Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Frensham Road, Winser Road, Maytham Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Pope Street, Godmersham, CT4 7DN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2026

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Pope Street, Godmersham from 9th March 2026, with estimated completion by 11th March 2026, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Woodsale Farm House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for this closure, however, residential and emergency access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Road From Naccolt Road To Blackwall Road, Wye, TN25 5NY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2026

To allow pole and cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Road From Naccolt Road To Blackwall Road, Wye from 23rd March 2026 with estimated completion by 24th March 2026, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed approximately 100m north west of the junction with Naccolt Road, heading 100m in a north westerly direction, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Road From Naccolt Road To Blackwall Road, Naccolt Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



The Street, Chilham, CT4 8EJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2026

To allow water pipe repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of The Street, Chilham from 11th March 2026, with estimated completion by 13th March 2026, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Ye Olde Cottage, The Square, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via The Square, School Hill, Hambrook Lane, The Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Wissenden Lane, Bethersden, TN26 3AJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2026

To allow pole and cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Wissenden Lane, Bethersden from 24th March 2026 with estimated completion by 25th March 2026, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Norton Lane heading approximately 100m in a westerly direction, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Wissenden Lane, Romden Road, Pluckley Road, Smarden Road, Chambers Green Road, End Of Pluckley Road At River Beult To Chambers Green Road, Station Approach, Mill Road, Pluckley Road The Street, Church Hill and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
