What is happening?

GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF C56 ROAD FROM FIELD COTTAGE TO JUNCTION AT THE ROCKS
(DYMOCK PARISH) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C56 Road from Field Cottage to the junction at the Rocks from its junction with Brooms Green to its junction with Chapel Pitch for a distance of approximately 160 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for Bridge Survey works.
The said road is expected to be closed from the 9th March 2026 until 19th March 2026 only or until the said works have been completed. For further information, please contact Gloucestershire Highways on 08000 514 514 or visit www.gloucestershire.gov.uk.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE 400304 HILL VIEW LANE
(GORSLEY AND KILCOT PARISHES)
FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 400304 Hill View Lane from outside of the property known as ‘Brookdene’ to a point 75m south west of the property for a distance of approximately 75 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for the works on behalf of Severn Trent water.
The said road is expected to be closed on from 08:00hrs on 9th March 2026 until 16:00hrs on 10th March 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

(COLEFORD TOWN)
FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C19 Station Road from its junction with Forest Road to its junction with Primrose Drive for a distance of approximately 175 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for drainage works.

(LITTLEDEAN PARISH) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 400118/400119 The Ruffit Road, from outside of the property known as ‘Callamore Cottage’ to outside of the property known as ‘Kimley’ for a distance of approximately 130 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for works on behalf of Severn Trent Water.
The said road is expected to be closed from 08:00hrs on 23rd March 2026 until 16:00hrs on 25th March 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

(LITTLEDEAN PARISH)
FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the A4151  Church Street Road, from outside the property known as ‘Littledean Jail’ for a distance of approximately 40 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for works by Severn Trent Water.
The said road is expected to be closed between 08:00hrs and 16:00hrs on 22nd March 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is
sooner.

GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL ON STREET PARKING ORDER 2017 (ELLWOOD ROAD, MILKWALL)

(VARIATION) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council has made a Variation Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, & 5 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will vary the Gloucestershire County Council On Street Parking Order 2017 (the 2017 Order) by introducing the waiting restrictions detailed in the Schedule below on Ellwood Road, Milkwall, Coleford, Gloucestershire.

The 2017 Order will be varied by the attachment of plans similar to those used in this consultation and which identify the roads or sides of road to which the prohibitions and restrictions affect. This Variation shall come into operation on 5th March 2026. The length of road falls within the Town of Coleford within the Forest of Dean District in the County of Gloucestershire. The usual exemptions will apply to Statutory Undertakers and Local Authority vehicles carrying out duties in exercise of their statutory powers, and also in the case of emergency services vehicles and disabled person’s vehicles.
A copy of the Variation Order, the new Sealed Plan to be inserted into the Schedule of Plans together with a copy of the Statement of Reasons and 2017 Order may be viewed at The Map Room, Shire Hall, Westgate Street, Gloucester, GL1 2TG and Coleford Library, The Main Place, Railway Drive, Coleford, GL16 8RH during their normal working hours or online at http://www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/tros. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Variation or any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the ground that any requirement to that Act or any Statutory Instrument made under ithas not been complied with in relation to the Variation may within six weeks of the date on
which the Variation is made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE C25 AWRE ROAD
(AWRE PARISH) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT
THIS NOTICE REPLACES THE ONE ISSUED ON 18th FEBRUARY 2026

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C25 Awre Road, from its junction with the A48 Awre Road to outside the property known as ‘Number 6 Awre Road’ for
a distance of approximately 268 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for drainage works.
The said road is expected to be closed from 23rd February 2026 until 6th March 2026 only or until the said works have been completed. For further information, please contact Gloucestershire Highways on 08000 514 514 or visit www.gloucestershire.gov.uk.
Alternative Route – as signed on site. Emergency access will be maintained. Pedestrian access will not be maintained due to safety reasons as there will be excavations in the road.
