SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL. ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C428 DRINKSTONE ROAD, BEYTON

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C428 Drinkstone Road, Beyton from Guerdon Cottage to Brook Farm to facilitate the testing of a telecommunications pole. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Drinkstone Road, Cangles Lane, Church Road, Roads Bounding Beyton Green and Vice Versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 09/03/2026 from 9.30am - 3.30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

THE U2067 MILDMAY ROAD AND THE U2078 MARYON ROAD, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads

* U2067 Mildmay Road, Ipswich from Nacton Road for 50 metres southbound

* U2078 Maryon Road, Ipswich from Nacton Road for 50 metres southbound

This is to facilitate a gas replacement scheme. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Clapgate Lane, Landseer Road, Nacton Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 09/03/2026 - 23/03/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

The diversion route will be Reeds Way and vice versa.

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C659 The Duddery, Wickhambrook from the sewage works for 200 metres northbound to facilitate telecommunications works to clear blockage. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Coltsfoot Green, Cemetery Road, the B1063, the A143, Church Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 10/03/2026 from 9.30am - 3pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

The diversion route will be Holcombe Crescent, Bridgewater Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 09/03/2026 - 20/03/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads.

* C506 Syleham Road, Hoxne from the junction with Wingfield Road for 314 metres westbound

* C506 Hoxne Road, Syleham from the junction with Brockdish Road to the junction with Wingfield Road.

This is to facilitate the replacement of an electrical pole and cable. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1118, the A143, the B1116 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 09/03/2026 - 12/03/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

THE C486 FLORDON ROAD, CREETING ST MARY

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C486 Flordon Road, Creeting St Mary from 127 metres north of Coddenham Road to The Almonds to facilitate the installation of duct, pressurised sewer and inspection chamber. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Jacks Green Road, Mill Lane, Gateway Boulevard, the A1120, the A140, Kettle Lane, the B1078 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 09/03/2026 - 13/03/2026, 16/03/2026 - 19/03/2026, 20/03/2026 from 8am - 6pm, 23/03/2026 - 27/03/2026 from 8am - 6pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

  2. U5801 Foxes Lane, Mendham from the junction with Sandpit Hill to the junction with Withersdale Road

The diversion routes will be:

  1. the B1123, Mendham Road, Withersdale Road, Mundys Road and vice versa.

  2. Withersdale Road, Mundys Road, Sandpit Hill and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 09/03/2026 - 08/05/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

The diversion route will be Bury Road, Hargrave, Barrow Road, Hargrave, Denham Lane, Barrow, Barrow Road, St Edmundsbury, Dalham Road, Dunstal Green, Ousden and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 10/03/2026 from 8am - 6pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (IPSWICH) (FOOTPATHS 18 AND 72)

(TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024

This order, which came into effect on 12/09/2024 closing Footpath 18, Ipswich from Westerfield Road, Ipswich to Footpath 71, Ipswich and 225 metres northeast of Footpath 72, Ipswich for 75 metres north eastbound; and Footpath 72, Ipswich from Footpath 18, Ipswich to Footpath 71 has been extended in force by the Minister until 11/09/2026 or until the completion of the works, whichever is the earlier.

This closure remains required to facilitate the construction of a new housing development. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Without extension the order would have been in effect until 11/03/2026.

The diversion route for Footpath 18 will be to the left of the footpath for 75 metres.

The diversion route for Footpath 72 will be via Ipswich Footpath 18 and vice versa.
