What is happening?

Exemptions would be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(c) local vehicular access to Addison Road.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS ST NICOLAS STREET, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along St Nicolas Street commencing at its junction with Dark Lane and continuing to its junction with Sandy Lane.

The Order would come into effect from 00:01 hours on Tuesday 10th March 2026 and is required to enable the safe rebuild of a hydrant chamber. The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Thursday 12th March 2026.

TEMPORARY PARKING & TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS CHYLDS COURT, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Chylds Court for its full length.

The Order would come into effect at 07:00 hours on Wednesday, 11 March 2026 and is required to enable defective manhole cover and frame repair and associated works on Chylds Court to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed 11 March 2026.

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the closure would be sign posted on site.

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency;

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS FOLESHILL ROAD, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Foleshill Road commencing at its junction with Lockhurst Lane and continuing to its junction with Pridmore Road.

The Order would come into effect from 09:00 hours on Sunday 8th March 2026 and is required to enable the safe replacement of a manhole cover and frame. The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by 16:00 hours on Sunday 8th March 2026.

Exemptions would be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) local vehicular access to Foleshill Road.

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Clayton Road commencing at its junction with Donnington Avenue and continuing to its junction with Southbank Road.

The Order would come into effect from 09:30 hours on Tuesday 10th March 2026 and is required to enable the safe replacement of a manhole cover and frame.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by 14:30 hours on Tuesday 10th March 2026.

Exemptions would be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

NOTICE OF INTENT HUMBER ROAD CYCLEWAY PROPOSED RAISED TABLES AND CONTROLLED PEDESTRIAN/CYCLE CROSSINGS – HUMBER ROAD

Notice is hereby given that Coventry City Council (“the Council”), under Section 90 of the Highways Act 1980, intends to install physical traffic calming measures in the form of raised tables and controlled pedestrian/cycle crossings under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, on Humber Road as part of the Humber Road Cycleway. The details of the proposed measures are as follows:

A. Raised Tables to be installed on the following junctions with Humber Road

i) Terry Road
ii) Anglian Way
iii) Humber Avenue
iv) Hollis Road
v) Hugh Road
vi) Humber Road service road

The said Raised Tables to be of a height of 100mm to 125mm.

B. Controlled Pedestrian/Cycle Crossings to be installed on Humber Road at the following locations:-

i) Toucan crossing – approximately 19 metres south of Wheler Road

ii) Swallow crossing – approximately 18 metres north of Wheler Road

iii) Toucan crossing – approximately 17 metres north of the centre line of Hollis Road

iv) Swallow crossing adjustment – approximately 58 metres south of the splitter island at the Binley Road Roundabout junction
