(RESTALRIG ROAD AREA) (TEMPORARY ROAD
RESTRICTION AND TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026 – TEMP/26/25
The Council has made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be that for a temporary period, to facilitate carriageway resurfacing footway and drainage works, no person shall: (a) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on the sections of roads specified in Schedule 1 hereto, where closures will apply to roads in their entirety unless otherwise stated; & (b) except with the permission of a Parking Attendant, cause or permit any vehicle to wait or load onto or unload from any vehicle on the sections of the roads specified in Schedule 2 hereto, where prohibitions will apply to both sides of the roads in their entirety unless otherwise stated. Existing parking restrictions will be suspended on the affected sections of roads described in (b). The alternative route for through vehicular traffic in relation to the road closures will be by way of: (i) Restalrig Rd & (ii) Restalrig Rd sth: East Hermitage Pl, Hermitage Pl, Vanburgh Pl, Lochend Rd, Lochend Road Sth, Sleigh Dr; (iii) East Restalrig Ter: East Hermitage Pl, Hermitage Pl, Vanburgh Pl, Lochend Rd, Restalrig Ter, East Restalrig Ter; (iv) Blackie Rd: Gladstone Pl, Claremont Pk, Claremont Rd, Blackie Rd; (v) Cornhill Ter: East Hermitage Pl, Hermitage Pl, Vanburgh Pl, Lochend Rd, Restalrig Ter, Cornhill Ter; (vi) Ryehill Ter: East Hermitage Pl, Hermitage Pl, Vanburgh Pl, Lochend Rd, Restalrig Ter, Cornhill Ter, Ryehill Ter; (vii) prospect Bank Rd: Gladstone Pl, Claremont Pk, Claremont Rd, Prospect Bank Rd; (xi) Restalrig Circus: East Hermitage Pl,

Cres: East Hermitage Pl, Hermitage Pl, Vanburgh Pl, Lochend Rd, Lochend Rd Sth, Sleigh Dr, Findlay Ave, Restalrig Cres. There is no available diversion with respect to the road closures of: (viii) Easter Hermitage; (ix) prospect Bank Gdns; (x) alemoor pk; (xii) Restalrig pk; (xv) Restalrig sq; & (xvi) Restalrig Rd sth (No.178 access road), where local access will be maintained. The Order shall have effect from 02/03/26 to 03/07/26.
