(CHARLTON ROAD/TAVISTOCK ROAD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that Plymouth City Council acting under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), intend to make an Order the effect of which is:
1. To prohibit the driving of vehicles in:
• Charlton Road - from Grosvenor Road to Tavistock Road
• Tavistock Road - inbound from William Prance Road to Plumer Road
2. To suspend the bus lane on:
• Tavistock Road - inbound and outbound from William Prance Road to Plumer Road
The prohibition of driving will be in operation on the days and during the hours that the appropriate traffic signs are displayed. The Order shall come into force on 30th March 2026 and shall continue in force for a maximum of 18 months
It is anticipated that the junction upgrade works will commence on the 30th March 2026 until 27 th October 2026. Advance warning boards will be displayed on site at each location to communicate exact dates and times nearer the time.
