Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
TUNBRIDGE WELLS AREA
A262 Goudhurst Road, Iden Green (30 MPH SPEED LIMIT) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water main connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily impose a 30 MPH speed limit on part of A262 Goudhurst Road, Iden Green, on or after 16th March 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
A 30 MPH speed limit will be imposed between The Farmhouse and 1 Iden Green Cottages. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Amhurst Bank Road, Capel (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow for a compound for works on Half Moon Lane, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Amhurst Bank Road, Capel, on or after 2nd March 2026 for up to 103 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with Half Moon Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Half Moon Lane, Alders Road, A228 Colts Hill, A228 Maidstone Road, Redwings Lane, Amhurst Bank Road and vice versa.
Benhall Mill Road, Hawkenbury (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow new drainage connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Benhall Mill Road, Hawkenbury, on or after 17th August 2026 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the junction with Ash Close. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Benhall Mill Road, Hawkenbury Road, Boundary Road, Forest Road, Benhall Mill Road and vice versa.
Blind Lane, Crook Road, Pixot Hill & Windmill Hill, Brenchley (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow carriageway resurfacing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on parts of Blind Lane, Crook Road, Pixot Hill & Windmill Hill, Brenchley, on or after 16th March 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The roads will be closed in the vicinity of the crossroads at Pixot Hill, including to the West - Blind Lane from the junction with Holly Bank, merging into Crook Road to the junction with Knowle Road on the eastern side. To the South - Windmill Hill from the junction with Broad Oak. To the North - Pixot Hill from the junction with Watermans Lane. Between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Northern side, Pixot Hill through traffic is via Mile Oak Road, Mascalls Court Lane, Chantlers Hill, B2160 Gedges Hill, B2160 Maidstone Road, Coppers Lane, Brenchley Road and vice versa.
The alternative route for any Southern side through traffic is via High Street, Horsmonden Road, Brenchley Road, The Heath, B2162 Maidstone Road, Yew Tree Green Road, Crook Road and vice versa.
Cornford Lane, Pembury (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cornford Lane, Pembury, on or after 20th March 2026 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed approximately 75 metres North of Cornford Cottage, for a distance approximately 100 metres in a North direction. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cornford Lane, High Street, A228 Pembury Road, Halls Hole Road, Cornford Lane and vice versa.
Culverden Park, Royal Tunbridge Wells, TN4 9QX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow cover and carriageway repairs to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Culverden Park, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 18th March 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Flat 6, 1 Culverden Park. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Culverden Park, A26 St Johns Road, Culverden Down, Culverden Park and vice versa.
Etherington Hill, Southborough (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Etherington Hill, Southborough, on or after 20th March 2026 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from outside Broomhill Farm to outside The Old Coach House, weekdays only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Etherington Hill, Speldhurst Hill, Langton Road, Speldhurst Road, The Green, A264 Langton Road, A264 Bishops Down, A264 Mount Ephraim, A256 Mount Ephraim, A26 St Johns Road, Speldhurst Road, Etherington Hill and vice versa.
Green Lane, Benenden, TN17 4AX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Green Lane, Benenden, on or after 5th March 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Goddards Green Road, for a distance approximately 100 metres in a South direction, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Goddards Green Road, New Pond Road, B2086 The Street, B2086 Rolvenden Road, Stepneyford Lane, Green Lane and vice versa.
Half Moon Lane, Capel (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water main works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Half Moon Lane, Capel, on or after 2nd March 2026 for up to 103 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Amhurst Bank Road to outside Dislingbury Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Half Moon Lane, Alders Road, A228 Colts Hill, A228 Maidstone Road, A228 Pembury Northern Bypass, Old Church Road, Pembury Hall Road, Half Moon Lane and vice versa.
Hartlake Road, Tudeley, TN11 0PH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hartlake Road, Tudeley, on or after 4th March 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from 60 metres north of the entrance to Bridge House, for a distance approximately 100 metres in a North direction. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Hartlake Road, Three Elm Lane, A26 Hadlow Road East, A26 Cornwallis Avenue, A26 Hadlow Road, A26 Cannon Lane, A26 Vale Road, A26 Vale Rise, A26 Woodgate Way, B2017 Tudeley Road, Hartlake Road and vice versa.
Hawkenbury Road, Hawkenbury, TN2 5GL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow cable installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hawkenbury Road, Hawkenbury, on or after 16th March 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Grove Haven. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Hawkenbury Road, Forest Road, Benhall Mill Road, Hawkenbury Road and vice versa.
John Street, Royal Tunbridge Wells, TN4 9SA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow EVC connection point installations to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of John Street, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 2nd March 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the entrance of John Street Car Park to outside number 7 Lansdowne Court. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A26 St Johns Road, Culverden Down, William Street, John Street and vice versa.
Pennington Place, Southborough, TN4 0AG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow cable installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pennington Place, Southborough, on or after 16th March 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 26. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for any through traffic. Access will be maintained where it is safe to do so.
Standen Street, Benenden (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow carriageway anti skid works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Standen Street, Benenden, on or after 17th March 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Weald House. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Mill Street, Sponden Lane, A268 Queen Street, A268 Rye Road, Back Road, A28 Hastings Road, A28 High Street, B2086 Regent Street, B2086 Benenden Road, B2086 Rolvenden Road, B2086 The Street, Iden Green Road and vice versa.
Tattlebury Lane, Goudhurst, TN17 1DZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow for safe working on A262 Cranbrook Road, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Tattlebury Lane, Goudhurst, on or after 2nd March 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Tattlebury Gallery. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A262 Cranbrook Road, B2084 Chequers Road, School Road, Tattlebury Lane and vice versa.
Walkhurst Road, Benenden, TN17 4DD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Walkhurst Road, Benenden, on or after 16th March 2026 for up to 20 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with B2086 The Street to the new Canham homes development. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Walkhurst Road, Goddards Green Road, New Pond Road, B2086 The Street and vice versa.
Whites Lane, Hawkhurst, TN18 4ED (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water main connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Whites Lane, Hawkhurst, on or after 16th March 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 6. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via Whites Lane, Queens Road, Heartenoak Road, Ockley Road, A229 Cranbrook Road, A268 Rye Road, Water Lane and Whites Lane.
The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via Whites Lane, Water Lane, A268 Rye Road, A229 Cranbrook Road, Ockley Road, Heartenoak Road, Queens Road and Whites Lane.
