What is happening?

STAFFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – (AS AMENDED)

THE STAFFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 35 AND

PUBLIC BRIDLEWAY NO. 36 BREWOOD AND COVEN PARISH

(TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Staffordshire County Council on 12/2/26 made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any users from proceeding along Public Footpath No. 35 Brewood and Coven Parish from junction with Lawn Lane to junction with Public Bridleway No 36 Brewood and Coven Parish. No users shall proceed along Public Bridleway No. 36 Brewood and Coven Parish from Lawn Lane to Shaw Hall Lane for approximately 1000m.

The closure is required under the provision of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 Section 14 (1) (b) due to the construction of a solar farm.

No alternative route is available.

A plan will be displayed on site to show the length of path to be closed and unaffected rights of way in the area.

This Order came into operation on 23/2/26 and will remain in force for a period of six months or until the risk of danger to the public is over, whichever is the earlier. If necessary, after six months, the Order may be extended for a further period with the approval of the Secretary of State. Date: 26/2/26

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984  –TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC

Notice is hereby given that Staffordshire County Council on 26/2/26 made an Order the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit traffic along:

Stockford Ln, Hilliards Cross. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=GB148239765. The Order will come into operation on 2/3/26 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 5/5/26. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the junction upgrade works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier. Notice is hereby given that Staffordshire County Council on 24/02/2026 made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along:

Thorpe Ln, Thorpe Constantine. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=GB147339095. The Order will come into operation on 2/3/26 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 6/3/26. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the trial hole/utility works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

The Order will come into operation on 4/3/26 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed on the same day. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the tree cutting works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

TEMPORARY 40MPH AND 30MPH SPEED RESTRICTION

Notice is hereby given that Staffordshire County Council on 24/02/2026 made an Order the effect of which is to temporarily impose 40mph or 30mph speed restriction along:

Wood End Ln, Wood End. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=GB147347703. The Order will come into operation on 4/3/26 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 8/6/26. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the traffic management, which it is proposed to operate on or near the road is no longer in operation, whichever is the earlier.
