Consolidation Order 2022 (Variation No.23) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that on the 12 February 2026 North Somerset Council made the following order in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The general effect of which will be to amend the North Somerset Council (Prohibition of Stopping, Waiting, Loading and Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2022 to include amendments to parking restrictions (laybys) on Heywood Road, Pill, North Somerset. The extent of the proposals are described in the Schedule to this notice. The order will come into operation on the 1 April 2026 and copies of the order may be inspected at: https://streets.apryva.com/north-somerset
Any person who desires to question the validity of, or of any provision contained in the order on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, or on the grounds that any of the relevant requirements of that Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, may within six weeks after the date on which the order was made, apply to the High Court for the purpose.
Schedule – Part 3: Prohibition and Restriction or Waiting, Stopping, Loading and Unloading – Heywood Road, Pill - Disabled Person’s Parking Places: the disabled person’s parking space in the layby to the west side of the pedestrian crossing on the north side of the road to be increased in length to 6.6m. A disabled person’s parking space in the layby to the east side of the pedestrian crossing on the south side of the road to be created, 6.6m in length. Revocation of Disabled Person’s Parking Places: The disabled person’s parking space in the layby to the west side of the pedestrian crossing on the south side of the road to be removed. Amendment to Limited Waiting Parking Places: The limited waiting parking spaces in the layby to the west side of the pedestrian crossing on the north side of the road to be reduced in length from 30.8m to 23m. The limited waiting parking spaces in the layby to the west side of the pedestrian crossing on the south side of the road to be reduced in length to 14.5m. The limited waiting parking spaces in the layby to the east side of the pedestrian crossing on the south side of the road to be reduced in length to 16.7m.

Consolidation Order 2024 (Variation No.3) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that on the 12 February 2026 North Somerset Council made the following order in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The general effect of the order shall be to amend the North Somerset Council Moving Traffic Prohibitions and Restrictions, North Somerset Consolidation Order 2024 to include the introduction of new bus lanes on the Bridgwater Road A38 approaches to its junction with A4174 Colliters Way commonly known as Lime Kiln Roundabout. The extent of the changes are described in the Schedule to this Notice. The order will come into operation on the 1 May 2026. Schedule – Part 3: Moving Restrictions – Bus Lanes with exemptions for pedal cycles, motorcycles and taxis - A38 Bridgwater Road (northeast bound): a section of bus lane outside Castle Farm leading to the roundabout (Approximately 82m in length). A38 Bridgwater Road (southwest bound): a section of bus lane leading to the roundabout (approximately 64m in length). A38 Bridgwater Road (southwest bound): a continuation of the southwest bound bus lane on the nearside lane of the roundabout next to Colliers Way (approximately 11m in length).

The general effect of the order was to amend the North Somerset Council Speed Limit Restrictions, North Somerset Consolidation Order 2024 to alter the speed restrictions on A38 Bridgwater Road at its junction with A4174 Colliters Way commonly known as Lime Kiln Roundabout. Notice is hereby given that North Somerset District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:
West Town Road, Backwell, North Somerset
Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Cyclists
Date coming into force: 13 April 2026

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.
This order is required because of highway drainage maintenance works and will become operative on 13 April 2026, anticipated to be of five days. The closure will be in place between 7am and 7pm. The maximum period for the closure is eighteen months, however, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:
North End Road, Yatton, North Somerset
Temporary Prohibition of Use By Vehicles Order 2026
Date coming into force: 9 March 2026

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Strongvox Homes Ltd to lay foul and surface water drainage crossing and electrical duct crossing. This order will become operative on the 9 March 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 5 days in duration as described in the schedule. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.
Schedule - North End Road from outside the Bridge Inn to outside The Grange. Closed on Monday 9 March 2026 from 8pm to Tuesday 10 March 2026 at 6am. Closed on Tuesday 10 March 2026 from 8pm to Wednesday 11 March 2026 at 6am. The road will remain open on the night of Wednesday 11 March 2026. Closed on Thursday 12 March 2026 from 8pm to Friday 13 March 2026 at 6am. Works will continue under temporary traffic signals outside of these times. This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wales & West Utilities Limited to replace gas mains. This order will become operative on the 7 April 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 14 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.
